A host of such a meeting is judged by the amount and quality of such food and his overall hospitality as hospitality is very much valued in Arabia and Arabia is well-known for this. Therefore being a tribal sheikh for instance in KSA, that also has to settle disputes in villages whenever there are disputes when it comes to land etc., is a costly thing.

It is simple logic that a few persons cannot eat such huge portions alone.

Everything else can come with time just like it is difficult for us to predict how the region will look like in 20-30 years or the societies. And most of the Left organizations (human rights) include mostly ashkenazi jews.
Mizrahi jews don't see themselves as arabs, but as Israelies, and they'll get offended (to say the least) if u'll call them an arab.
