S-200s can target and hit F35s.

The problem with Syrian ADS is swarms and hyperonic weapons, and to a less extent jamming, though there are solutions to the first and last. Hypersonic missiles won't be in production for a few years, so Assad has some time.

The advantage of stealth is against other aircraft that are not stealth. Not so much air defense. F-35s are in danger from S-300s.

This battle between the the Air plane and the missile defences is nothing new - and has been going on since the 70th , with the advantage shifted from plane to missiles and back.

Only in the 80th have Israel learned to deal with the new gen of air diffence. Till than it lost scores of planes due to air defence missiles. Still the airforce stayed committed to protecting Israel security interest and so it will continue regardless of any loses.

If the s-300 will be delivered - which is still doubtful , it will certainly be a challenge to overcome . But in no way does it mean that the air force would simply abandon its duty to protect Israel security.

If that is what some people here are fantasising about , than they are in for a surprise.

This is not what it appears to be or at least Israel try to imply in the case. Natanyahu has been in Russia on many occasions. Not everything is being made public and whatever free passes are enjoyed, were not possible without consent of other party. This time, it's different.
