RAWALPINDI: Media wing of armed forces, the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Sunday demanded from Business Recorder newspaper to extend apology for publishing false news of meeting between the Army Chief and former interior minister Chaudhry Nisar Ahmed, ARY News reported.

Sources said the ISPR has taken notice of the news about meeting between the two. It has termed the news as faux.
The media wing of armed forces has warned of legal action in case of not apologizing, said the sources.

They said the report about Director General ISPR Major General Asif Ghafoor’s ‘political meetings’ abroad was also false.

“False news are deliberately being spread,” said the sources.

ispr, didnt ask indian media about apologie, for spreading false news? every day

why buisness recorder singled out?
because they expect indian media to live up to its tabloid name & reputation. We expect higher standards of ethics out of our own media...simple as that. where is fawad chaudry's pemra now???

Good move, spreading false news against institutions should be dealt with iron hands.

.
ISPR is wasting it's time.... do we need more terror attacks to take action beyond words?
Enough of playing diplomat and in good faith.
So what do you expect? Pak army sends a brigade to their office? It is not pretty common of PA to demand an apology and surely PEMRA will take an action against them.

.
Great initiative by ISPR. If ISPR wants to remain reputable they will crack down on fake news like this. Part of what makes ISPR so good is the conveyance of correct information like they did when India bombed the trees. That news upset a lot of people as to why the planes were not shot down however it showed that ISPR is far more professional than entire IAF.

.
Are you that stupid? What control ISPR has over Indian media?
Displaying Stupidity is a very common trait these days among certain sections of Pakistanis after their leader was thrown out.
