Islamic Republic of Pakistan
It is a fact that our country is “Islamic Republic of Pakistan”, no question or second thoughts about it; it was created by Muslims for Muslims. Islam being the center of its existence, those who think that they can just take Islam out from Pakistan are living in dream land. It will create a huge question mark on the existence of this country itself.

Islam and Pakistan – Current Situation
Having said that, another question we need to ask ourselves is, can we implement Islam and Islamic Shariah in Pakistan in current situation? Matter of fact is, there are different sects in Pakistan including Ahl-e-Sunnat (Deobandi, Barailvi), Shia, Ahl-e-hadees, etc. etc. Though the core is same, but the branches clash with each other, non-stop. So, which flavour of Shariah shall we implement? What school of thought is to be followed?

Problem is, we have a huge number of religiously illiterate people in Pakistan who rely heavily on so-called Allamas and Mullas for their understanding of Islam, majority of people do not understand Qur’an, because they have never read the “translation” to understand it though they recite it day in and day out, majority of people haven’t read the “sahah-e-sittah” (A collection of sayings of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH)). All they know and believe is dependent upon what they hear in “khutba-e-Jumma” or “Madrassas”, and those who are giving those khutbas or are teaching in madrassas are not saying what Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) said (they are not qualified enough), they refer to “imams” such as Imam Abu Hanifa, Imam Ahmed bin Jumbal, Imam Shafi or Imam Maalik etc., and there has been differences between understanding of Imams in certain sections of Islam. This escalates confrontations between illiterate Mullah with each other, thus, riots between their followers.

Keeping in view this situation, is it possible to implement Islamic Shariah in its real form? The answer is a profound No. Until differences between these sects are sorted out, and all of them come to mutual rules for Shariah, Islamic Shariah cannot be implemented in Pakistan, no matter how much we want it to. If for argument’s sake, we implemented Islamic Shariah which is not accepted by all sects, we will have further escalation of fights and killings in between these sects.

Pakistan – Current situation
Now, let’s come to current situation of Pakistan. Our country is going through its most vulnerable period after “sakoot-e-Dhaka” in 1971. Foreign agents have infiltrated our country and raining havoc in it, International Community is on its toes to bring Pakistan down as much as it can, arch enemies are straightening up their lines to take whatever they can from this chance. Extremists and terrorists are wandering around in our country, doing whatever and whenever they want to. Talks of more provinces are being supported.

Is this the country we want it to be? Is this what our fore fathers thought when they fought and gave their lives for this country?

This is not the time to think who is with us or against us? Is there a difference between good Taliban or bad Taliban? Are drone attacks allowed or not allowed? Are the rogue elements US supported or India and Israel supported?

Pakistan – Solution
We need to straighten ourselves now; we need to decide that we can have debates later, on problem of provinces, distribution of resources and such. Right now our first priority is the very existence and sovereignty of Pakistan, accept it or not, Pakistan is fighting for its survival right now.

We, the people of Pakistan, no matter who we are, no matter where we are, no matter what sect, cast, creed or colour we belong to, no matter which language we speak, no matter what province we belong to, no matter which political party we support or have been loyal with, all of us have to become a Pakistani first, nothing else should matter right now.

For Pakistan’s sake, throw away all your pride as Punjabi, Sindhi, Baluchi, Pashtoon, throw away your flags of political parties, come under the flag of Pakistan, become ONE as honourable citizen of Pakistan, force rogue elements out of our country, DICTATE the Government to take required actions, DICTATE Military to do their job.

Government is here to SERVE the people of Pakistan and provide them with utmost security and prosperity, if they cannot do it, throw them out and bring in new SERVANTS, that’s what you do with employees, isn’t it? Understand that Government officials are NOT your RULERS, they are your SERVANTS, they get PAID for it, if they cannot do their JOB, then they are NOT meant to be there.

Remember, Pakistan CAN become Islamic Republic, but for that Pakistan has to exist first!!! Become ONE, come out of current situation, and then we can discuss about what rules and regulations to follow.

Make sure that NO outsider is allowed inside the country until Pakistan is consolidated again, any person who is not a Pakistan shall be driven out or killed, simple as that. Pakistan is in a war right now, and in war, you don’t ask questions, you do not look for approvals, you fight to live, you fight to win, you fight to come out alive.

Remember, It is OUR country, it is OUR home, if it exists, we exist. It is as simple as that.

It is a fact that our country is “Islamic Republic of Pakistan”, no question or second thoughts about it;

It was born as the Dominion of Pakistan becoming an Islamic Republic in 1956, Gen. Ayub made it just the Republic of Pakistan in 62 and finally Bhutto made Islam the official religion of Pakistan in 73 before Gen. Zia's Islamization.

Its only meant to be a Republic of Pakistan, simple as that.

I want to see a tolerant, progressive, scientifically and economically developed Pakistan.

I do not want an intolerant, hate filled, global hub of Jihadi's that it currently is.

To achieve that we have to work for Pakistan and Pakistan alone.

Thanks T-Faz.. as you can see from my post, i am against all this Islamisation of country without any defined Shariah Law, accepted by all sects.. Until then, i am suggesting to refrain from it..

It should be ruled as a 'state' only, especially in current situation, we cannot afford any internal conflict right now, neither religious nor provincial etc..

and for the line you mentioned.. I was referring to what the current name of our country is.. here's the link

What makes you think that all sects can agree on a particular form of Sharia, they cannot even agree on where to keep your hands while praying.

If for the survival of Pakistan people have to shun their differences of region and religion, why should Pakistan be an Islamic Republic. Why can it not be a Republic of Pakistan and religion being the choice of an individual that is kept private. In my opinion, creative interpretations of Islam has got people into a state of conflict with brothers and sisters. How can one muslim be more muslim than the other. Time to introspect the fabric and foundation of Pakistan before it is too late.

why cannot we ? its just you and your kind who donot want....

Exactly my point, until they can decide, hold the Implementation of Shariah Law.. Its better then saying "No we are not going to implement Shariah" and have them retaliate against the state.. isn't it?

Besides, there is no point fighting with each other when the priority should be to fight the invaders of all kind..

A Muslim can be a better Muslim then other brothers on the basis of Taqwa.. and that is not to be decided by Humans, its an honor given by Allah, lets leave this discussion to that..

it was always meant to be Islamic Republic of Pakistan and despite of the pain the seculars feel, it will remain Islamic republic.

it seems T-Faz has ran away from the discussion.........

Im sorry to say but whats islamic in Pakistan? The name i guess?

This country is being destroyed by 2 parasites:
1-extreme liberals...who want somethin like "europe wala mahoul".
2-extreme islamists want so called "saudi arabia" and impose their own laws at other people by force.

The third kind......people like me ........ the country is getting smaller and smaller.

I wish the first 2 kinda people died.

The point is that extremes are not good for Pakistan in either way, no body denies that Pakistan is suppose to be Islamic Republic, but one has to conclude that religious leaders have to come to a mutual commitment. They have to define a sequence of laws that define the "Shariah".

If they cannot do that, then there is no point implementing a "Shariah" which is supported by only ONE of the sects.. That is going to be disastrous..

As far as extreme liberals are concerned, they need to understand that 95% of population would not want their sisters, mothers and wives to be a display material.. They need to give it up and come to their senses..

People need to become Pakistanis in current situation, if they did not gather under one Pakistani Flag, this country won't be there for them to implement either Shariah or Liberalism.

Just my two cents..

It was, then why did it become the Dominion of Pakistan when it was created.

I know you Islamists wants to force your intolerant and violent ways onto other but it won't work.

Ran away?

I am not like those burka wearing Mullahs you are very close to.
