Islamic Emirate is optimist on meeting in India on Afghanistan: Spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid

. . . . .
What a shame for India to share news from someone they do not endorse. There's a proverb "Making donkey their father at the time of need" - and Indians have just done that - practically.

It means Taliban is ready to be a part of future meetings

I don't think so.. This guy is just being diplomatic and nice but some desparate Indians trying to make something out of it is hilarious.. That meeting means Jackshxt for them because their two major endorsers skipped it....

India seems desparate after being completely snobbed... Afghanistan has more allies in the region than India:lol::lol::lol:

Indians are desparate these days they will even hang onto the slighest of air

By the way, how's that indian backed Panjshir Valley resistance going? What's the latest on that? Are India and Saleh on the verge of victory?

It means IEA and Pakistan view on the meeting are totally different.
So long as the Haqqanis wield influence in Taliban, it is unlikely that IEA will act against Pakistani foreign policy direction. At the moment, the Haqqanis seem to be the most influential party in Taliban.

Pakistan's best interests lie in a sovereign Afghanistan with its own independent foreign policy.

Funny how India is desperately trying to make herself relevant again in the region. There's growing pressure on Modi to allow US to lease land and build an airfield for drone operations all over Afghanistan. Does one really expect Taliban to sit idle on this?

India will remain irrelevant for Afghanistan unless it unconditionally recognizes Taliban regime. I don't see that happening without US' blessings.
