‘ISIS Sees Turkey as Its Ally': Former IS Member Reveals Turkish Army Cooperation

we shall see at the end. there are some people who are very eager to use Turkey against isis while they just safely scream and bomb from a big distance and throw Turkey away in chaos, so Turkey is playing the correct game by staying away from it as much as possible, hence the butthurt among western politician, media and population :D

If Turkey was staying away from this conflict (like it should have done) then believe me i wont be anything but happy about it bro. Just like Jordan did. But thats not the case, Turkey by supporting the so called 'free syrian Army' choosed side in this civil war in which it had absolutely no need/business in. It should have stayed neutral in the beginning like its doing now with ISIS at the border fighting the Kurds. Turkey as we all know was the main point from which Jihadists the world over were travelling to get into into Syria to fight, with the blessing of the Turkish government who was turning a blind eye to this and even encouraging it, as far as it thought they could bring down Assad fast, but unfortunately it wasnt to be the case, Assad didnt fall, and wouldnt fall by way anytime soon. So this has now brought Turkey into a dilemna, since senseless Erdogan has too much pride to confess he made a mistake, hence he is still saying he will bring down Assad/that Assad is a dictator and has to go since hes illegitimate.lool Who the hell is he to judge who the president of a sovereign country has to be? why dont he ask the Saudi dictatorial monarchy to go/leave power?lool I know our governments also asked Assad to leave(like they always do with countries who dont abide by our rules/loyalty.lol:D), but we can afford to do this, since we are playing geo politics in the region and we didnt have much interests in Syria anyway, so we had basically nothing to lose there other than poking/limiting Russia(with its military base).:enjoy:/iranian influence.

Dont get me wrong, i dont have anything against Turkey, since i think it has been a model for other middle eastern country to follow bot religiously and development wise, but the events in Syria has Changed my view about the Turkish government(and many people in the world for that matter), since Turkey is slowly but surely being portrayed(rightly or wrongly) as a risky place to go to due to instability in the region and it being a transit for jihadists fighters in Syria and Iraq etcit will definitely come back to haunt Turkey believe me, all this because of Erdogans arrogancy/pride/foolish decisions. Hopefully it wont end up like Pakistan in a few years from now.

Erdogan or not, even if Turkey would have stayed out of it all it would still feel the consequences; refugees like now, increasing pressure from some pkk elements inside Turkey, still uncertainty on whether isis will leave us alone or not (considering their threats, kidnappings and killing on Turkish soil before), assad staying in power is not that much better than isis etc. I think if you read your own post carefully, you can conclude that the west is nothing but a hypocritical and unreliable club that doesnt truly care about its fellow nato member, yet shamelessly dares to criticize and turn it into a scapegoat through (media) pressure when it tries to look after its interests while it actually does way more than the west combined from an economical perspective. such hypocritical countries' opinion is therefore nothing but unreliable, hence it rightfully belongs in the bin. This episode yet again confirms that the west in general is untrustworthy, any sane person can see that. Bush would have done a way better job than shaky Obama vis a vis Assad, suddenly missed the guy. 'definitely' 'believe me' 'in few years from now on', let's first see then believe :)

Turkey wants to remove Assad, who is Fighting the rebels, Isis and the rest of the Nato proxy and all this with the Support from Russia. The Rebels are fighting ISIS, Turks, Asaad, and the Russian proxy with support from NATO. ISIS is simply F*****G with everyone. Hence,Turkey is in a tight spot

sorry, but i must correct you... there are no rebels fighting in syria... they all are nato-supported criminals from all over the world... how can a jemah criminal from indonesia or a talibani or a tableeghi from britain be a syrian "rebel"??

the ones who are from syria but fighting the syrian military... are ikhwaan criminals who were already in conflict with the syrian government under hafiz al-assad... again, these are not rebels but a bunch of criminals who have beheaded and gassed syrians...

the thread called "syrian civil war" thread was created not to "syrian lion" but by a turk who supports the mullah government in turkey... there is no civil war in syria... it is a invasion by nato proxies...

lool Bush would have done better than Obama in which way? You mean toppling Assad for Turkey?lol Why doenst Edorgan(who seems to think he lives in Ottoman era) go in and topple Assad himself since he has been screaming out loud for years now that Assad should be toppled? Why doesnt he go in and topple him with Turkey's mighty army? Always waiting for PAPA U.S. Erdogan seems to think Turkey is some sort of Super power it seems.lool In that case he should act alone instead of always calling for the U.S to act.

Anyway, had bush being president as you said, and toppled Assad as you and president seemed to wish, then it would have even made things worse. Can you look at the situation in Libya today where Obama intervened early to topple Kaddafi, libya once the wealthiest and most peaceful country in Africa, wealthier than even some european countries(i myself went on holiday there 5 years ago, and it was the only african country with unemplyement benefits, something that is unheard of in the region), look at what it has now become today, a semi failed state a la Somalia, with different Jihadi, islamists groups battling each other day in day out, imposing their own religious laws/views and with no central government.:disagree: The only difference with Syria if we had topple Assad as you wished is that it would have been even more worse than Libyas current situation today:agree:.

Anyway i dont want to get into too much details, i was just pointing out that Turkey made a mistake from the beginning getting involve in this mess, it only made things worse for it and the region as a whole, and yes im honest enough to admit what our governments did wrong or their hypocrisy, but unfortunately you Turks are too nationalistic to ever admit you(and for that matter your government) made a mistake/recognize your faults, you all seem to think you are special or something. Good for you people though if thats the case. No hard feelings.

I totally agree, Syria is a key Russian ally and NATO knew that Syria would drag Russia into the conflict but Russia wasn't provoked and played their cards to perfection by helping Asaad to eliminate chemical weapons which stopped the US from bombing Asaad at that moment. Then Russia made its move and gave NATO their Syria like crisis in Ukraine. NATO retaliated again by sending in ISIS to the mix

good analysis... world war 3 would indeed have started in 2013 if nato would have carried out their invasion threat... but russia intervened in the way you describe.

but i am disappointed that russian warships are not continuously stationed off tartus port and russian soldiers are not helping syrian army... if the soviet union had still existed they would have done so...

i have a solution why dont india send its troops to syria. seems like they are more worried about ISIS then any other country.

Russia simply doesnt have the capabilities to do that anymore man. Even at its current level, its barely surviving/keeping up with its military spending(which we should all note, it still overspends). Im sure we dont want another Russian Soviet collpase 2.0 do we?:D India has to get used to the fact that its old soviet romance with Moscow is longgg gone and wont be coming back anytime this century.:agree: You should all move on bro. :P

respectfully, i am socialist which not only negates nationalism but also puts me against the indian system ( which is capitalist and important nato ally )... :-) india as a political entity was never in the eastern bloc... in the korea war, india partcipated alongside usa/uno militaries and against the eastern bloc...

every month, more evidence and proof that AKP supports and arms terrorists in Syria and Iraq... nothing new here,

Why US? Because they are the responsible one for the mess in Iraq due wrong policies, which paved the way for isis. For the same reason, if the US is a super power, why it needs Turkey and European countries against isis? At least Bush was more decisive. it was the west that wanted to topple Assad just like other ME and African countries, so why you mainly blame Turkey is beyond me. You're going to need a bigger mirror to check yourself.

Same indecisiveness you have as some western leaders. First support such protests as the arab spring or screw it up through active support or intervention, then 'oh, it seems its gonna destabilize the region, lets support the govt instead', withdraws support and watches the people in such regions eating each other. Same treachery as in Egypt, democratically elected Morsi removed through a coup, yet west is nowhere to condemn this. Either stay all out of it or support the parties that are close with the west, but not appear to be A (democratic and pro-nato) and do B (support dictator sisi and solely drag Turkey in an active war for your own benefit). Turkey has faced injustice from western countries too, so such moral stories from the west sound so funny to our ears.

No, the problem is people like you think they know everything better. we have debated this before, Turkey has made mistakes too, but despite all of this the western hypocrisy, indecisive policies against Assad, screw ups in ME and African countries, support for our enemies pkk/pyd etc. you want to convince on what is better for us and what not. So, yes, in this case all Turks, whether initially pro or anti FSA policy of Erdogan, are against the current west's policies. It has reveled that the west only cares about itself and is willing to sacrifice Turkey as 'the boogeyman' to the media in order to to hide their own failures. With such allies you dont have to search for enemies.

We shall see, maybe Turkey will be dragged in, maybe it will come out stronger, much to the dissapointment of certain people :enjoy:
