.
That's a big and positive development - AFPAK collectively can bring peace in region by hunting the terrorists and kicking out trouble makers from region. We like it or not, unless there is something like Wall of China on Durand line, security and safety of both nation is dependent on each other.

Ahem, not to throw vinegar on this but let me remind you of certain luminaries that were trained by the ISI:

1. Amrullah Saleh -- great friend of Pakistan
2. Ahmad Sham Masood -- great friend of Pakistan
3. Barhanuddin Rabbani -- great friend of Pakistan
4. Ostad Mohaqqaqi -- great friend of Pakistan
5. The list goes on and on

They were assets only.

Unless you are an indian hidden behind the cover of US trying to prove something else, Let me remind you about a country which became a practical and strategic partner of the USA and became the SOLE platform that lead to the repel of the USSR from the region of Afghanistan.
You have forgotten this..

Huh?

Btw this is not the first time or the last time some one will accuse me of being an Indian.

Thank you for insulting my intelligence -- I suspect I have studied Afghanistan severalties more than you.

My point - which janab seems to have missed is that previous training of Afghans (some of whom are now Kahraman-i Milli) did not buy us any friends in Afghanistan.

. . .
I'm conflicted with this. On one hand, it may very well decrease Indian influence in Afghanistan's security agencies, and decrease the level of hands India has in the country; On the other hand, it may very well give India an insight into Pakistani spying tactics, if the NDS decides to continue it's support of RAW.
