ISI rep to New Delhi only if India shares information first

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Saturday made it clear on India that officers belong to anti terrorism directorate of national security department would be sent to New Delhi if evidences with regard to country’s involvement in Mumbai carnage were handed over to Islamabad first.

State officials told Online Pakistan has also informed Indian Government about government decision not to sent Director General Inter Service Intelligence (ISI) Lt Gen. Ahmed Shuja Pasha to New Delhi.

Over two or three officer belong to anti terrorism directorate of national security department would be sent to India after exchange of information by New Delhi, however, timeframe in this respect can not be given to India, the official added.

The decision in to this effect was taken during the meeting among President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani and Chief of the Army Staff Gen. Ashfaq Pervez Kiyani on Saturday, sources informed Online.

Situation emerged after Mumbai carnage was deliberated in length during the meeting that lasted more than 3 hours. Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani joined the meeting later.

Three leaders have rejected the allegations leveled by India with regard to Pakistan’s involvement in Mumbai carnage, source said.

Source further stated that Chief of the Army Staff before meeting to the President and Prime Minister also met head of national security departments and apprised them about stance of military leadership regarding sending DG ISI to India.

It was decided that office belongs to anti terrorism directorate of national security department would be sent to India instead of DG ISI but New Delhi have been asked to share information first and the integrity and supremacy of the country would be the first priority, sources said.

Sources further said that three leaders while strongly condemning the Mumbai terrorists act have said Pakistan had offered unconditional cooperation to India but before start of investigation and without evidences Indian Government and army leveling allegations against Pakistan.

During the meeting, it was also decided that Pakistan would not allow anyone to play with country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity under the cover of blame game, sources concluded.

Pakistan is really pissed off with India. Indians better start behaving nice if they expect any cooperation from us.

There is massive finger pointing with each other too. I mean to me it just shows that Indians really love to just start pointing fingers without any investigation. All this will do is bring down the congress. Which was the main aim of the attack.

Pakistani interior minister just said Pakistan or Bangladesh and militant organizations within have been blamed for the last 40 bombings in India even though proven otherwise. lol.

... and 'action' will require sharing evidence, so quite frankly the cooperation Pakistan has called for has to be agreed to, however you cut it.

I realize the Indians wanted the headline of the DG ISI getting a 'dressing down' from Indian officials, but that ain't happening. The requests for sharing evidence to advance cooperation are sensible ones, as is that of not inflaming the situation and ratcheting down the 'blame game'.

It sounds sensible from Pakiistani POV. It makes life easier for them to wash the trail. No wonder the moment hijackers of Indian airlines wanted Mazood Azhar, Pakistani establishment was very quick to transport his family back to Pakistan into a secret loacation or a safe haven. What makes you think, this time itll be different. Even though your governemnt or millitay establishment or ISI is not involved would they have the will to crack down on homegrown establishments like Lashkar, Jaish or deport their leaders to India. I for one sure don't believe that it will be done so all the hulllah about providing the evidence first so that it can be washed away.
