We are more Arab(central Asians) than the dark IVC people who got wiped out by central asians. One thing I hate when people say we are descendants IVC.

What the hell,we are no dark ugly IVC peoples. We are the central AsianArabs who wiped them off their land.
No, you're swinging to another extreme and ultimately wrong. Pakistan has people of both races and a lot of mixed races which can be seen in every city, people with dark skins, fair skin and all the tints and shades in between throng our streets. But this thread is not for racial discussion so go somewhere else and do not derail the thread.

.
I did not say dark is equal to ugly. What I meant is our ancestors will have been the good, the bad and ugly. Many threads went into making us as a people. Trust me my family show the diversity of our origins. I think we even have Mongol blood in some branches of the family. Tint but still visible. We should 'own' all our varied ancestors. That I think is the important thing to note.
Yes, we are proud of whatever we are. Here in Europe, people proudly boast of their origins if they are mixed...and I've heard a lot "My mom is Polish and my father is Irish"... Natives of IVC were great people who built such an advanced civilisation that was ahead of its time with paved straight streets, a water-well at every square, covered sewers and conduits.....and that's just the tip of the iceberg and I'm also proud of my Afghan origin, great warriors... that's perhaps their influence that I don't quit so easily (a bit of vanity here)

First off, a "massacre"
Talwar, if you look at history it was very rare to almost impossible to wipe out a people unless they were limited in numbers. Indus Valley is huge. Mass killing only came about with modern weapons. In the past it was always more effective to kill the ruling elite and then transpose yourself as the new elite. That is why I think IVC people have evolved into the mixed Pakistani population today. The sediment of IVC is still there in the genetic mix somewhere.

If you look at Turks today only a small % of their genetic inheritance is from Central Asia. Most are more Anatolian then Central Asian Turk although their language and culture was replaced. I go back to the layerd sediment infographic which I thin sums modern Pakistanis so well. We are a very mixed bunch. Even that can often be seen in one family.

Proud inheritors of Indus Valley, Sumerian and Egyptian civilisation and the only Muslim country to become a nuclear is destined to reach the forefront of science and technology with passage of time.
Indeed their are many Syeds in Pak, especially Gillanis who have roots in Iraq and Iran, some famous one are the feeble former PM (not a fan at all) , beautiful actress Nausheen Shah and male model Abdullah Ejaz.Kudos bro

How do you know that the people of IVC were dark or ugly? and how do Arabs equate to Central Asians?
I believe it was @Sher Shah Awan who has read some studies which indicate the neolithic farmers of IVC were very, very similar to the Awans of Ghandaran region. I think @Kaptaan we are all to a great extent the children of Mehrgarh civilization with input from central asia over the millenia.Kudos
