We do not have the mental capacity to write something better than the original 1973 document. We are mentally stunted due to our stunted growth.

The government formed is a loose mix and match of political rejects and electables. Most will be behind bars if rule of law prevailed or if the law enforcing entities allowed to work independently. Sound familiar? Yes. The government came through this mandate itself ironically.

Actually establishment wanted to carry on with this system and also to have controlled democracy,they thought it will work but need of the time is to stand firm and openly in national interest as the establishments of Russia, China , Iran ,Israel do ,no need to hide behind curtains and behave like ostrichs

Civilian rule is a darma , democracy etc what Eva the ruling system is ,is always backed or manupulated by the most powerful pillar of the nation, different nations have different power Pillers ,do you think mad dog is running USA and is in Power without the will of power full US establishment, the bucher of Gujrat is pm of India and is without the support of the local and international establishments, is xi g ping in power by people, is Putin in power in Russia by bublic election, it's all by the power pillers behind them and they are serving their national interests at it's best, democracy is tool or lollypop for public consumption,

As a PMLN guy I feel that current govt should be given time. Previous govt made mistakes and ignored pressing issues. Current guys shouldn't be expected to fix them overnight. The issues facing Pakistan are complex, multifactorial and long standing. Right or wrong previous govt focused on roads and electricity. Made big progress. Current govt is highlighting other issues and at the same time is dealing with financial mismanagement that occurred not only due to Darnomics but also due to CPEC (which wasn't really negotiated by civilians...it was done on a macro level by establishment) as well as opposition which has constantly opposed privatization of state assets that drain billions of dollars a year from the govt.

In any case, I highly doubt PTI govt is on verge of collapse. They have a pretty solid mandate and need to be given 5 years to make their case. As a Pakistani I pray they succeed.
