Despite of having no diplomatic ties with Israel, PIA has given one of its plane for shooting of an Israeli movie.

According to a private news channel, Israelis are producing a film based on historical events of Operation Entebbe.

Operation Entebbe
was a hostage-rescue mission carried out by Israeli Army (IDF) at Entebbe Airport in Uganda on 4 July 1976. A week earlier, on 27 June, an Air France plane with 248 passengers had been hijacked by two members of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine - External Operations (PFLP-EO), and two members of the German Revolutionary Cells.

Israel is now filming this event in a movie in which PIA has provided one of its plane. PIA officials have confirmed that the plane has arrived in Malta for the shooting.

Sources have said that PIA chairman, who is a foreigner, has given this permission to use the plane without the approval of the government.

Yeah lets try make him leave .............. he won't let us enjoy our usual routine in PIA.

I have no enmity with him. But, if the news is true than it is a wrong act on his part. He has to follow country's policy.

What plane? PIA never operated C130s or L100s

I just quoted you nothing personal against you. I was referring to useless manpower that PIA carries. And renting for money I don't see anything wrong with it. No issues at all.

Are you serious, you probably couldn't get a more gob shite source even if you tried. it makes no sense for Israel to want to use Pakistani planes for the movie, it can get them from a more friendly country easily.

It is confirmed now. You can check it from times of Islamabad. Official spokesman has confirmed the news.

"With reference to media reports regarding a PIA aircraft being used in a movie, the spokesman, in a statement, said the aircraft had been given on rent to a film production company where it would be used in Air France livery and not as a PIA aircraft."

It makes no sense to me too, why the hell PIA would like to offer its plane on rent when we keep hearing the news of shortage in fleet size all the time.

Yeah, I personally think he was doing good with PIA but still, if we have a policy of no ties with Israel than it must be respected and rent money would never be so large that it cant be denied.

and why it has to be C130 or L100 ?
