so you are saying that china can export a variant of J-16 to any customer across the globe without any Russian interference today. is that a correct statement to understand.
in theory yes, but in reality no, as I stated in my previous posts earlier that PLAAF is really in dire need of advanced heavy fighters, and the production rate is not even close to half of PLAAF's needs````and the so-called IP issue is none existance, that was created by clueless fans and media...the IP "issues" was long sorted when China decided to home build Flankers```according to his "believe" China wouldnt even to be allowed to start to build J-11As in the first place, as we started to use many home made parts to replace Russian parts``
anyway
here are few realities that troubles the PLAAF and PLAN:
for recent years with the rapid development of China's aviation might, fans begine to believe that China now is becoming the formidable air force in the world so can deter U.S's might in East Asia`````however, those 600 J-11,J-11A, J-11B and Su-30 are not up to the task, they are merely a "catch-up" works for PLAAF and PLAN, and they cannt stand a chance in 5th gen infomation centric air battle especially against the U.S.
they need J-20, J-XX, J-15D, J-16 and J-16D! loads and loads of them, but the whole supply chain just cant do the job, just cant`````for many people they dont know, that, to build a plane, there are hunderds of various suppliers involved, the various suppliers also have to meet up with the standerds required by J-20, J-XX, J-16D and J-16, its a chain effects, any point in the middle breaks, be it trivial or important, no matter how many assembling lines have been built, the whole production will put to a pause until it is being solved.
on post 87, I worte a "fictional" dialog, that the PLAAF cheif cannt wait those factories, so they have to keep buying Russian engines and also it is the reason to buy Su-35, there is high chance that PLAAF will buy more su-35 rather than the 24 units they have signed`````
SAC has been working on J-11D for many years, but the result wasnt very exciting as there was not much improvments compared to later version of J-11Bs, so the top decided to use newly developed AESA radars and avionics to upgrade the current j-11Bs and its new productions, at the meantime to buy more characteristic Su-35s to boost the number of capable 4.5gen fighters to deal with imminent threats from the East.
CAC is busy building J-20, J-10C and developing J-10D, and the burden on SAC is rather heavy, J-11B, J-15, J-15D, J-16, J-16D and 5th gen stealth fighter for the navy````````on top of that, the demand for WS-13G, WS-19, WS-10IPE and WS-15 is also very high!`````so we dont think PLAAF and PLAN is quite happy with the current situation, just too much works to be done in few years time
and to the topic of the thread, a plane cannot deal with S400,because it is an air-defense system, Pakistan need a competent system and strategy to deal with it, not a plane
