Is Indian Navy walking into F-35 trap

Recently a report prepared by idrw.org ( Read: United States takes lead in India’s INS Vishal ) highlighted how United states has taken lead role in helping India develop next generation 65,000-tonne Aircraft carrier ” INS Vishal ” which will be constructed in next decade to come .
United States active help for INS Vishal design only came when India agreed to buy Expensive and operationally untested Electromagnetic Aircraft Launch System (EMALS) developed by General Atomics.
United States in principal also agreed to help develop or Sell Electronic Warfare Suite and are in talks to further cooperation which will allow enough leverage to push for the sale of other equipment for the new aircraft carriers.
Northrop Grumman already has briefed Indian Navy on the E-2D Advanced Hawkeye aircrafts which Indian Navy plans to operate from a new aircraft carrier in near future. Indian Navy which operates Russian supplied Mig-29k fighter aircrafts from INS Vikramaditya is also already investing in the development of Naval LCA which could serve on board India’s first locally developed aircraft carrier INS Vikrant.
Indian Navy few years back had floated a Request for Information (RFI) for a newer generation of aircraft which can operate from the two indigenous aircraft carriers, and Lockheed Martin delegation responded and had briefed Indian navy few years ago on naval variants of the F-35B and C, which will be suitable aircraft carrier operations .
After MMRCA debacle, Purchase of Dassault Rafale M fighter jet from France is highly unlikely now and India should not let itself walk into F-35 trap were United States in disguise of providing help to India combat rise of Chinese Navy might push for American Fighter jets to be operated from Indian aircraft carrier .
