LOL.You will find out the hypocrisy of the west when they slap sanctions on you, which should be coming soon. India keeps betraying the west and the west keeps turning a blind eye, but no longer.
We've lived through it.
Even a Mac was off the permitted list for export to India. Sea Kings couldn't be flown, so no training, so we built a simulator, the first India built. Usually people bought from CA in Canada, or Thomson Group in France, or Reflectone, that was a BAE subsidiary, out in Bristol. I had two Silicon Graphics O2 systems; when I visited Singapore Aerospace, they had wall-to-wall medium- and high-end systems. Our engineers were thrown out of Lockheed Martin overnight, and not allowed to retrieve even their own notes. They went ahead and re-built the flight control system from the ground up.
We did some of our best work in those years. People from my organisation built the mission computer for the ISRO PSLV, eight systems talking to each other and arriving at a consensus decision. All in Ada.
Don't worry about sanctions on us. The way you contemptuously fling out a casual phrase knowing nothing about such situations, other than Mr Pressler's good wishes.....
