We still have too many American skeptics here in Washington questioning that claim. I guess you have to surpass her GDP in nominal market exchange rates to effectively open their eyes.

The economy size between USA and China is only that few trillion. It is like claiming China economy is not big then so as USA?

We dont need American approval. They are already irrelevant. American fanboy need to grow up and see the real world. The world now does not revolve around them anymore.

Apparently there's dispute because skeptics think the US is the sole global power based on holding the world currency, having military base across the globe and being the biggest economy. A country who does not meet these criteria just doesn't fit bearing that designation. Do i have sour news for them, while the yuan is not the world currency there's no dispute that China is poised to overtake USA as the number one economic super power even they have to admit this simple fact of life. As for the military aspect, China does not need and do not aspire to have military base all around the globe. The one in Djibouti and maybe in the future adding a few is more than enough for providing assistance and aid. China already has a global presence helping developing countries with many projects and providing (financial/humanitarian) aid. It is taking the leadership position dealing with climate change issues, taking the lead in renewable energy. China's influence is felt across the globe, as Napoleon would phrase it: "shaking the world".
When the financial crisis struck in 2008, the world was looking at China for help and not this sole super power USA

May be it will take a few more years to attain a position to physically lead the world but one thing is definite that China has more standing in the world this time than US... thanks to Trump and hypocrisy of US.
The other more definite thing is that both Xi and Putin have more stature than Trump.
