Quality and reliability of Boeing, Airbus, ATR is leagues above anything Iran can produce for next 25 years.

This airplane will go no where, precisely because no one in establishment will give contracts or funding for it.

I agree it is not logic to produce a commercial aircraft. Those are in a challenging environment very high demanding, an oligopoly formed by Boeing and Airbus. But COMAC it is breaking this, and Sukhoi with their SSJ just touch a residual part of that market. Anyway some companies of IAIO and some other companies like MAPNA can help in I+D research and even manufacturing parts.

For sure Russia need partners for improving, developing, building and operating SSJ family, but also Tu-214 that they need for long range wide body commercial aviation. They need money and you have expertise and experience in developing and manufacturing nearly any part of a aircraft.

All the recent planes Iran has acquired second have been on the younger side. Some slightly older ones.

Even a 10-15 year old or even 20 year Boeing/Airbus is better than anything Iran can produce.

You live in fairy land. Right now the only non-West aligned country is China that is mass producing aircraft. Even on civilian side it is not anywhere close for its domestic population to competing with the Big two. Mostly just builds military and civilian transport planes.

This thinking Iran is going to under draconian sanctions is not rooted in reality. They can’t even mass produce a fighter jet, but they will mass produce airplanes? Come on now.

we produced iran-140 , it had some problem in engine used , if we managed to fix that problem why not mass produce

Still works fine if you know how to overhaul engines. Iran is still flying 1960’s C-130.

Iran-140 had weight problem. Airlines would constantly exceed its weight limit. You can’t fix that mentality, hence why it’s better for military transport.

Look up how many of Iran’s airline disasters and military transport were due to Russian aircraft. Then ask yourself why mass produce such a design.

You can easily acquire used planes on secondary market when an airline is looking to sell their 10-20 old plane for a fraction of cost. That is how Mahan and all these airlines fly “newer” planes.

Iran-140 had weight problem. Airlines would constantly exceed its weight limit. You can’t fix that mentality, hence why it’s better for military transport.

Look up how many of Iran’s airline disasters and military transport were due to Russian aircraft. Then ask yourself why mass produce such a design.
how many was airbus and Foker and ATR and....?
once i counted them 7-8 years ago and they were the same shit in that regard.
and the problem was engine was not powerful enough in hot weather

The components of origin of the Western bloc countries on the SSJ-100 Superjet, was more than 10% and also included half of the turbofan that the French stopped supplying, now replaced by the Russian PD-8, therefore the work of import substitution with Russian suppliers it was very challenging.

I forgot, the interior of the passenger cabin was set up in Italy, the internal fittings were designed and produced in Cambiano (Turin) in the Pininfarina factories, this is because until 2016 the SSJ-100 superjet was an Alenia Aermacchi - Sukhoi Holding collaboration

Exactly. Designing a commercial aircraft from scratch I agree it is nowadays suicidal from a economical point of view. But being a TIER-1 supplier for SSJ or Tupolev it is much better. Russia needs desperately suppliers and customers for his few commerial planes and Iran needs desperately commercial planes for national airlines.
Just that. Nobody is telling to design a A320/B737 for internal market. Just take advantage of Russian ostracism.

As weapons embargo is lifted Iran should start upgrading its Air Force. In my opinion MIG 35, SU 34 and SU 57 in large numbers are the way forward. Specially as they have AESA radar along with other features.

Maybe Mig-35, but Su-34 is much wanted for RuAF (they have suffered 15 losses if not more) and it is so good that Turkey will call Putin to not sell it to IRIAF.
Su-35 and Mig-35 are best candidates right now. After that milestone more Kowsar and Yassin for LIFT trainer and CAS can be purchased.
And Iran is done more money right now trading munitions and equipment to Russia right now... It is a win-win trade and not that costly.
