Iraq received 5 million bullets, to be handed 2400 rockets, US official : Aswat Al Iraq
BAGHDAD/ Aswat al-Iraq: US air force general William Bandar announced here today that the US administration handed over 5 million bullets, as well as supplying 2400 helicopter rockets within its support to counter terrorism in Anbar province.
In a round table meeting with Iraqi media at the US embassy, he added that "Iraq is fighting a joint enemy, which is terrorism".
"We are trying to supply Iraq with its needs of light arms, so it was decided that we will supply Iraq with 2400 helicopter rockets within the coming two days", he confirmed.
He added that Iraq will receive next Monday 100 Hellfire rockets, with more 200 rockets after 60 days.
General Bandar referred to a suggestion to hire 12-24 Apache helicopters, pointing that the agreed quantity has not been completely manufactured.
He added that 7 Iraqi pilots for F-16 jets were graduated, stressing that the training of Iraqi forces shall be on US soil.

If an Iran weapons deal is to take place it’s most likely is for bullets or an ammo producing facility since Iraq lacks that currently.
