Can Iran make tank engine? Even Turkey and India can't. Besides, M1A1 is not that advanced. Don't have commander's independent sight. T-90MS is far more advanced than M1A1.

Operating an Abrams requires proper training, hence IS fighters that captured a couple of Abrams blew them up as they cannot operate them. These Abrams were operated by army personnel sometimes as part of PMU led operations who requested tank support.
