Iranian forces fire eight mortar shells into Pakistani territory

.
They want to prove their love for the baniyas. They think Indians will give them more money and investments if they hurt us. Moreover, it may be a tactic to relieve pressure on India by making Pakistan divert its men and machine towards the western border.

With us, what a joke! Iran is no match for us.

No Shia sunni here. .more to do with pakistani terrorists and smugglers sneaking into Iran..They have a big *** fence put up on the border. .but then... pakistani terrorists do have ingenious ways to sneak in..as with every other pakistani border.

by sending some our troops for defensive role in KSA
Oh baji KSA wasnt asking our troops to defend Haram Sharif or KSA in general but for attacking another sovereign Muslim country.

QUETTA: The Iranian border guards on Saturday morning fired eight mortar shells inside Pakistani territory, security sources said.

A security official who requested anonymity told Dawn that Iranian forces fired at least eight mortar shells that landed in a village in Panjgur district of Balochistan.

The security official added that no human loss of life or damage to civilian structures was reported as a result of the shelling.

Frontier Corps, Levies and other law enforcement personnel reached the spot and security was tightened following the border violation by Iranian border forces.

Last year in October, Iranian border guards had fired six mortar shells at a Pakistani border town of Mashkail, while a more recent incident occurredearlier in July this year when at least four mortar shells were fired towards Panjgur district.

Pakistan has accused Iranian forces of violating its territorial integrity and has lodged protest with Iran in this regard several times in the last few years.

Pakistan shares a 900 kilometre long porous border with Iran and the two countries had last year decided to boost intelligence coordination to wipe out terrorists from the border region.
We should test the capabilities of Iranian supa dupa ``stealth`` jet Fajr 313 by sending a flight of thunders armed with Ra`ad and a flight of F16`s for air cover.
Lets bomb their border towns and see what they`ve got.

Time has come for Pakistan to develop cost effective solution against these incoming projectiles from both side of border.

Israel developed Iron Dome, can Pakistan develop similar or other C-RAM type point defense system to handle these threats???

@Horus @Penguin @gambit your opinion in this regard will be appropriated. :)

I know.. But as a symbolic gesture, instead of downright rejecting saudi request to send troops in yemen, we should have sent our troops in KSA and said tht if ur internal stability is at stake, we would help u.. Downright rejecting and also taking the matter to parliament where most ministers bashed KSA , was a bad option and worst diplomatic move.. We wre afraid tht if we even some troops for KSA defence, it would affect our relations with Iran.. Hence we lost an ally in GCC, and gave india an opportunity to form closer alliance with GCc and Iran was, and is already closer to India

Is there anything in particular they are firing at?

1. Place some good mortar locating radars and SP 155mm howitzer or MLR(S) battery near the border and take out the mortars

2. Try shoot the mortar rounds. Operational are
  • Centurion: 20mm Phalanx Close-in weapon system, a land based variant of the US Navy's defense system;
  • Iron Dome: an Israeli missile system featuring multiple target tracking and self-guided missile interceptors. Iron Dome is currently the most effective and most tested counter missile system in existence.
  • Nächstbereichschutzsystem MANTIS: 35mm fully automated C-RAM system, produced by Rheinmetall based on Oerlikon's Skyshield and ordered by the German Air Force in use from 2011.
  • Porcupine: A typical Porcupine configuration for the Italian Army would consist of four firing units, one central control post for target designation and weapon control and a 3D radar system "track while scan type" for surveillance and target tracking. Each remote firing unit consists of a 20 mm M61A1 Gatling cannon, its ammunition handling system and a stabilised optronic infra-red (IR) tracking system.
  • DRACO: The DRACO is a multipurpose weapon station operating against Air, R.A.M. and Surface targets, designed for the Italian Army. The main armament consists of a high rate of fire 76/62mm gun with an automatic ammunition loading system; the 76/62mm gun is electrically controlled for elevation and traversing, and is stabilized in elevation. DRACO can be installed on 8x8 wheeled platforms, for combat support operations or convoy defence, as well as on tracked vehicles or on shelters for point defence. The main 76/62mm gun and the automatic loading system are fully compatible with all in service 76mm rounds and also with 76mm DART guided ammunition.DRACO can be completely controlled by two Operators (the Commander and the Gunner) from a remote position, located inside the hull for mobile installation or inside a protected command shelter for fixed installation.

We said that many times that if KSA`a territorial integrity is questioned we will defend it.So sending troops in KSA for defending it while knowing that she has no external threat to its territorial integrity would have been insanity. Moreover, and I m saying this again, they didnt ask our troops for defending them.
As far as the second part of your post is concerned, I`d say that we did right in turning away their request by not engaging in others` war.We had no national interest linked to that sectarian-based war.And we would have gained nothing from it.
Downright rejecting and also taking the matter to parliament where most ministers bashed KSA , was a bad option and worst diplomatic move..
They did the right thing, presented the matter in front of peoples` elected members, discussed it and after building consensus on it,reject it.Thats the way decisions are taken in democracies.BTW.How could else it be done???
and gave india an opportunity to form closer alliance with GCc and Iran was, and is already closer to India
India-Iran relations are way older than this.So saying this is factually not correct.

Actually Iran is no big deal. It's the local loyalist groups of Irani mulla, that govt fears.

They have sold their souls to India and Israel for lifting sanctions. We should be as wary of Iran as we are of India.

If government is in fear then it is alarming for state of Pakistan.. Losing grip over any segment of civilians allows other to use them against your state.
