Not really. in fact its much cheaper than the original one. lets say a super car goes out of the factory for $ 1 million USD, the importer buys it for $ 1 million USD, if the price of the car with its shipping cost to Iran gets to $ 1.2 million USD, the importer will charge it for 4 or 8 million dollars in Iran.
Lepin is better than Lego. The Chinese imitation better than the Danish Lego. Who wants to pay 800 euros for a set, when Lepin charges less than 200 euros for nearly the same product.
Ok, it is cheaper and maybe the quality is better or at least the same (which I find hard to believe, but fair enough).
Most people though, I think, buy a Lamborghini not only for how it looks or how fast it goes, but also for the 'status' of having a Lamborghini. I do not think having this Iranian reverse engineered car will give them the same status.
So, I think it would be better to make a car with a new original Iranian design and try to promote this.
So people will think that having this Iranian car will give them the same or even more status than having a Lamborghini.
If you want to beat the competition it is not only the engineering that matters but also the marketing of the product. Maybe marketing is even more important.
