Iran’s Army Ground Force on Monday unveiled a series of homegrown military equipment, including a transportation drone.
In an event in Tehran, the Army Ground force exhibited the latest products developed in cooperation with the local knowledge-based companies.
A highlight of the exhibition was an octocopter, dubbed Hod Hod (Hoopoe), with a flight range of 100 kilometers, flight endurance of four hours and capable of carrying cargoes.

The other products put on display in the event included a fireproof, waterproof and anti-shock ammunition box which can withstand temperatures as high as 1,200 degrees Celsius for 3 hours, as well as a command and control system for telecommunication networks.
Iranian military experts and technicians have in recent years made great headways in manufacturing a broad range of indigenous equipment, making the armed forces self-sufficient in the arms sphere.

Turkey is not self-sufficient in anything and their biggest export is vegetables

Iran is self-sufficient in tanks, rifles, comms, armour, radars, drones, missiles, submarines, frigates, maintaining f-14/other US equipment, reverse engineering US missiles (e.g. fakkour) - there is no comparison...

If Iran has not produced it then why is US sanctioning Iran? This would be a contradiction then.

but that's not the point. the point of iran's self-sufficiency programme since 1992 is not to produce a 4+/5 gen fighter jet or nuclear-powered submarines/aircraft carrier to compete with the US/Israel on that level, the point is that the iran-iraq war showed that iran cannot rely on anyone to defend itself, not for basic communication equipment or for basic rifles or artillery or mines or sniper.

so since then iran has established a national defence industry to meet every basic need and then work its way up, using asymmetric warfare and equipment (smart mines, fast attack boats, midget submarines, anti-ship ballistic missiles etc) to leverage its geography and deter an invasion/attack by israel/US.

under sanctions iran cannot import even basic equipments or have international co-operations to develop new technologies and iran has a tiny military budget by gdp compared to every rival (turkey/israel/UAE/KSA/etc), but it produces lots of very intelligent engineers and scientists and slowly is catching up, already israel and turkey know that iran this and are worried:
