Baku. Konul Jafarli – APA. Iran’s ambassador to Azerbaijan Mohsen Pak Ayeen spoke about Azerbaijan-Israel relations, and its impact on Iran-Azerbaijan relations, APA reports quoting ISNA.

The Ambassador said that Azerbaijan-Israel relations are not strategic: “In fact, no Muslim country can have strategic relations with Israel. Israel occupied Muslim lands, including Palestinian territory, as well as some parts of Syria and Lebanon and is the primary threat to the Islamic world.”

Noting that the relations between Iran and Azerbaijan is better than ever, Mohsen Pak Ayeen said in parallel with the enhancement of Tehran-Baku cooperation, Israeli media attempts to negatively impact Iran-Azerbaijan relations by exaggerating ties between Tel-Aviv and Baku: “Iran and Azerbaijan have entered a new stage in the state and fraternal cooperation through mutual confidence and support. Bright future may be forecasted for these relations.”

My view:
Is Iran not hypocrite? Why did Iran help Armenia during the war? Iranians have Azeri blood on their hands. These statements from Iran are truly disgusting. Israel is our special weapon against Iran. Iran should look in the mirror before accusing others.

.
Lets start with a little bit of facts and history. And also I will explain further why Iranians have been extremely kind and soft towards this spoiled child named Azerbayjan.

I have to admit that Iranians are culturally and even by genes much closer to Azerbaijan than to turkey or Armenia.. Common Iranian names, food, history, tales, Iranian nowruz and even common looks are not an exception between Iran and Azerbayjan.

Also Azerbayjan and Iran were unified under same flag for thousands of years, many times fighting same enemies such as ottomans and macedonians. When Azerbayjan chose its official name, to be named "Azerbayjan", Iran accepted that, while it's a name of an Iranian region.

Also Iran was one of the first countries to establish full diplomatic relations with Azerbaijan. Following the declaration of the Parliament of Azerbaijan to restore independence of Azerbaijan Republic in 1991, Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Velayati visited Baku, where he signed a number of agreements on political, economic, and cultural cooperation and pledged to support Azerbaijan's membership in the Organisation of the Islamic Conference.

So the root of the problem is somewhere else. It was in the arrogance of some officials and parties of Azerbayjan like that goat-face president Elchibey who played his panturkist fantasy card against Iran after centuries of respect from the Iranian side, as mentioned above. On several occasions Elcibey blasted Iran as a doomed state and predicted that within five years, Azerbaijan would be reunited. This pan-turkist behaviour was not only during Elcibeys presidency, but also during the whole 20th century including when Azerbayjan was part of the Soviet-Union.

Now you would expect Iran to let Armenia wipe Azerbayjan off the map after these kinds of threatening comments and behaviour from Azerbayjan towards Iran, and in my opinion that would be fair enough, however the incompetent mullah politicians decided the following:

During Nagorno-Karabakh War, Iran pressured Armenia and Karabakh Armenians to halt the offensive. Veiled threats first appeared in the English-language Kayhan International:
“If our peace and border security is going to be threatened... our leaders cannot afford to let the situation take care of itself”

This statement was followed by official warnings from the Iranian Foreign Ministry, accompanied by military reinforcements along Iran's borders with Azerbaijan and Armenia. Iran also gave financial aid to Nakhchivan and pressured Armenia to refrain from attacking the enclave.

Azerbayjan is really lucky with such a friendly and soft neighbour as Iran. However the Iranian nation will not accept this kind of diplomacy forever..

As far as I know it was Iran supported Azerbaijan during that war . Its information came out by an Iranian mullah who was in charge those days . Have you forgotten Iranian C-130 ?

You also have forgotten that it was Iran that armed Afghan warriors and sent to your country . You're biting the hand fed you because of your holy Israel and Turkey .
