Iranian General Amir Ali Hajizadeh warned that Tehran intends to continue to "react harshly" to American reconnaissance drone flights.

The commander said that on November 1s of this year, a U.S. Air Force "spy drone" violated the airspace of the Islamic Republic along the southern coast in the province of Bushehr and faced retaliation from fighter aircraft of the Revolutionary Guards.

General Amir Ali Hajizadeh also said that the purpose of U.S. drones is the collection of economic information regarding Iran's facilities on Kharg Island in the Persian Gulf where the nation's largest oil terminal is located.

May be israel@us finding excuses before going into destruction Very good for Iran they should do whatever interfere in their airspace similar as israel and Americans always interfere in others countries and their matters and in their air space similar Iran should send some more sophisticated drones into USA and israel this way Russia can check their technology too.

hmmmm..........Imagine if there is no war in world, what will happen to US economy? If Iran wants to see and end of US oppression, they can try and bring peace/no war in this world. The supremacy will end by default.

That is exactly why the great game of USA has turned into great accommodation............. to sum it up in easy words...... things havnt worked out as US had planned.

It was called the Great Depression. That lead to WW2. Pretty interesting history.

In 2004 Iran produced 5.1 percent of the world’s total crude oil (3.9 million barrels (620,000 m3) per day), which generated revenues of US$25 billion to US$30 billion and was the country’s primary source of foreign currency. In 2010, Iran exported around 2.6 million barrels of crude oil a day, being the second-largest exporter among the 12 Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries. Also, being the 4 largest produced-trader in the world. In the same year, officials in Iran estimate that Iran's annual oil and gas revenues could reach $250 billion by 2015. (Not that while FEWER barrels are produced per day, revenues already are UP: a result of scarcity.)

However, it also makes Iran dependent on oil. At 2006 levels of production, oil proceeds represented about 18.7 percent of gross domestic product (GDP). The oil and gas industry is the engine of economic growth, affecting public development projects, government’s annual budget, and most foreign exchange sources. In FY 2009, the sector accounted for 60 percent of total government revenues and 80 percent of the total annual value of both exports and foreign currency earnings.

OPEC has twelve member countries: six in the Middle East, four in Africa, and two in South America. OPEC is a swing producer and its decisions have had considerable influence on international oil prices. OPEC acts as a cartel as it adopted output rationing in order to maintain price. Oil and gas revenues are affected by the value of crude oil on the international market. It has been estimated that at the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) quota level (December 2004), a one-dollar change in the price of crude oil on the international market would alter Iran’s oil revenues by US$1 billion.
