Iran under attack by son of Stuxnet?

sometimes its better to throw automation out of the window and do things manually.

But then how these systems will run without automation because there is no way they can be managed manually:

Goodness me. Can't you read? YOUR ARTICLE SAYS THIS

A little more than one year after the infrastructure-destroying Stuxnet worm was discovered on computer systems in Iran, a new piece of malware using some of the same techniques has been found infecting systems in Europe

Duqu has not been sent to Iran. Iran is totally irrelevant with Duqu.

The title of your article doesnt even mention Iran, it mentions Europe. That would usually give it away.

It is good to have an interest in technology, but first you need to be able to read.

Hey, stupid, listen, do not over size words to show your brain level. The original stuxnet too had infected the computers in Europe. So has this one. Nothing new. Viruses spread globally you moron. It is the target that is important and it is Iran in this case. I am sure if Europe was under attack by creators of Stuxnet we would have a war on our hands and French forces were in Israel. So get out of here and do not embarrass your self anymore.

So, according to your all seeing wise eye, the target of duqu is Iran even though it was launched to attack Europe.

What happened? Did the creators of duqu accidentally press, send europe, by mistake?

you really do not sound much like your nickname by insisting iran is under attack. do you see iran in your sleep or something?

. .
I also have to say that this is the new form of warfare. Very sophisticated. It is almost like when Europeans came with Gatling guns in 1800's and the local population of Asia and Africa were dazzled as they had never seen or even imagined such a thing could exists. Then came the nuclear bomb. Now it is cyber war as everything from your cell phone to cardiac pacemaker, to cell phones, planes autopilot and even car's engine control units use software to run. So it is now the age of cyber war and Iran is the first victim of it. Just like red Indians were first victims of Gatling guns.

Yes, that is because the guys who have made Stuxnet have not yet attacked it. Stuxnet was a precision guided bomb. It was designed to attack only Iranian system. It infected more machines around the world but caused no harm. It just blew thousands of ultra-expensive Iranian centrifuges to hell.

I'd expect that Iran as a whole is generally pretty immune to cyberattack, due to its much smaller use of computing in its products. There are plenty of un-secure targets in Israel and the West that Iran can retaliate against if this keeps up.

What's interesting though is that this first picture shows a relatively unsophisticated control unit, which would be near impossible to attack. Yes, automation is needed, but it need not be as vulnerable as the stuff we have today.

Perhaps Iran could. Except noone launched the duqu attack on Iran. They launched it on Europe :cheesy:

dont you see stuxnet infected wall clock ? ;)

on serious note...industries have been working fine before all this automation....
machines may be an unavoidable necessity for europe...where they got less people to work...
but for asian countries...we got too many people available to work...we dont really need automation.

Hey dude there is some construction work on the road next to my house. Is it always a west conspiracy targeting Iran to make them late for work???
