The plane looks cool but performance depends upon factors such as the amount of Gs it can sustain the kind of avonics(radar, ecm suite etc) and the weapons package that it will carry(missiles, bombs etc). Also what RCS does it have. Sadly Iranians give little details which can help in determining how well the plane would perform against lets say the F-16s or the F-18s.

Has this plane been developed completely in house , what about the engine and avionics specs , i see that the Iranians are doing pretty good in the defense sector with all those sanctions in place , the plane looks awesome more like an advanced light fighter jet, max do you happen to have any other info on the aircraft.

It rather looks "very light" combat aircraft.

if Iran wants to develop complete-able equipment, it must extend cooperation with other friendly countries and should be more open to international joint-ventures. Doing research in closed doors for years would not produce equipment that they need to defend against enemies.

Overrated trainer.
That's a brutally honest way to put it, but it's hard to disagree. Though, let's not judge a book by its cover.

You've got to start somewhere. If it was built completely in-country (and I don't think we'll ever find out if it wasn't), it rather is a good effort considering the sanctions. Iran's also touting the Saeqeh jet, which looks like a deformed lovechild of an F-5 and an F/A-18 couple.
