'Iran secret arms to surprise attackers'

A senior Iranian commander says secret weapons and military equipment owned by the Islamic Republic will catch the country's enemies off guard once they are used for defensive purposes.


All the intelligence on the military capabilities of Iran's Air Force cannot be publicized, but “these secret weapons will be used surprisingly against the enemy if need be,” Deputy Commander of the Islamic Republic of Iran Air Force (IRIAF), Brigadier General Aziz Nasir-Zadeh, was quoted by IRNA as saying in Tehran Tuesday.

He added that IRIAF is ready to respond to any threat as it has demonstrated its readiness and competence in the military drills the country has performed.

Commending Iran's enhanced military might, the commander pointed out that “today, we have attained self-assurance and self-sufficiency so that we can manufacture the necessary equipment and weapons domestically.”

Nasir-Zadeh described successful test use of smart ammunition, including intelligent and anti-radar bombs, as part of the most important achievements the IRIAF has recently made.

Responding to a related question, he also said, “Competent Iranian experts have installed new and up-to-date equipment on Sukhoi 24 and MiG 29 aircraft and upgraded these fighters' [operating] systems.”

In recent years, the country has made great achievements in its defense sector and attained self-sufficiency in producing essential military equipment, including advanced air defense systems.

Iran has repeatedly said that its military prowess poses no threat to other countries and that its defense doctrine is based on deterrence.

in a wild imagination,lets assume it is a nuke,but how will u deliver it??? Which missible?? Can it evade ABM??
or nuke capable jets??

And when one country test a nuke,seismic sensors can predict the blast and its no more secret....or iran will use a dirty bomb or a untested nuke??

Whatever it is at least as a muslim I can say that there is one muslim country in the world whose leaders have the balls and the courage to tell america nad the west how it really is and what a maijority of the world muslim people feel without being bribed or bullied into submission

For one how do you know iran does not have secret long range missiles?
Also do you have any idea how much earthquake iran gets? any one of those could be a nuke test underground.

MiG 29 can be made capable of delivering Nukes.

The MiG 29Cs would have qualitatively improved Iran's air force by providing it with a more advanced fighter than its older model MiG 29s, a goal Tehran has sought since the Gulf War. With about 30 Russian made Su 24s, a sophisticated low altitude bomber, and both Scud and Scud variant missiles, Iran already possesses other systems more suited to deliver nuclear weapons than the MiG 29Cs.

A spyder sam can bury it in ground.....

Even if Mig can carry it,it can reach only israel but no way to US...
And sending outdated migs to take on israeli F-16s and F-35 is just a waste of resource

Russia didn't not even sell a defensive S-300 SAM,wat makes u think they will sell them offensive weapons like Migs and Sukhois?

Relax buddy, no one is getting any F-35s before 2018, that is, not for the next 7 years. The revised dates for the IOC for the F-35A and the F-35C is 2016 with possibility of further delays. About the F-35B, no likely dates have been specified so far as the programme itself is in doubt. So the earliest F-35s do not roll off the assembly lines before 2018. By that time all this would have blown over.
