Iran proved to be way smarter than I thought! India was looking to use Iran as its bitch, but Iran understood well that India can't be in bed with Israel/US and a friend to Iran at the same time! By connecting Chabahar with Gwadar, it's now instead choosing to show India that it was actually Iran's whore all this while!!

TEHRAN: Iran says it is ready to connect Pakistan’s Gwadar port with Chabahar port to promote trade and commerce in the region.
The proposal was put forward by Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif, who met Pakistan’s civil-military leadership in Islamabad on Friday, reported Press TV.
“I’ve come here with a proposal for the government of Pakistan for connection between Chabahar and Gwadar… We believe that Chabahar and Gwadar can complement each other,” Zarif was quoted as saying.
“We can connect Chabahar and Gwadar, and then through that connect Gwadar to our entire railroad system, from Iran to the North Corridor, through Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan, and also through Azerbaijan, Russia, and through Turkey.”

Iran, India and Afghanistan signed a trilateral transit agreement in Tehran in May 2016, which allows the three countries to open new routes of connection by converting Chabahar port into a transit hub.

The port in Chabahar, only about 100 kilometres from the Pakistan border and located on the Indian Ocean, is Iran’s largest outside the Gulf.

It is also the only Iranian port with exemptions from economic sanctions re-imposed by the United States in 2018

First Iran needs to drop the dagger which they are trying to stab us in the back with .. giving them access to Gwadar or anywhere near would be disastrous . Iran needs to understand that with Indians operating inside Chahbar they can't expect anything better from Pakistan .

Iran is being delusional. It has given the Chabahar Port to India. So it wants to connect to Gwadar so that the Indian terrorists can easily access Baluchistan and do more terrorism? Not going to happen.

If Iran is really serious, then the only way this is possible if Iran kicks out India from Chabahar, and forms a joint venture by handing the Chabahar port over to China and Pakistan.

I think Iran is indirectly saying that it wants investment in Chabahar port. But I agree with you that presently, Iran just cannot be trusted. Iran needs to prove and build trust with Pakistan which will take a long time.

I am all up for Trade and better relations with Iran, but giving them access to a Place like Gwadar , when they are housing the likes of KY ? that is something i won't like , In Karachi Iranian based Target killers were caught and active in Target killings of both Shia and Sunni Scholars to create a rift and sectarian divide ,I am not seeing Iran as an Enemy i just stop seeing them as Brotherly nation after KY , UB , BL and recent Baluchistan Attacks .

Actually Iran got ditched by India like a 2 dollar whore. Just recently India stopped importing oil from Iran to avoid US sanctions. Bhai you are missing the point, Sri Lanka and India are not brotherly nations, Sri Lanka has no stake in India to fund and secretly support any rival factions there, Iran does have it in Pakistan , they exploit the Shia's of Pakistan to go fight in their wars in Syria .
