Iran produce 40% of Muslim World Science

More than 40% of scientific advancement in the Muslim world comes from Iran, head of Human Resource Development workgroup at Nanotechnology Development Headquarters said.
Seyed Mehdi Rezayat, speaking at the valedictory ceremony of the 4th National Nano Competition on Sunday, noted that prior to introduction of nanotechnology in Iran in 2001, essays on the subject were scant but the progress in the field is now significant.
About 2,900 ISI articles on Nanotechnology have been registered during the past years and Iran ranks 7th globally in this field, he said quoted by IRNA.

The next step is to acquire revenue using that science. This is possible through scientific operational ideas. To serve this purpose, master and Ph.D. dissertations pivoting on Nanotechnology are welcomed and supported, Rezayat stressed.

The faculty member at Tehran University added: "Iran is now self-sufficient in producing nanotechnology equipment despite the Western-imposed sanctions on its civilian nuclear program. A Nano-lab network has also been established throughout the country and is accessible to university students and professors."
Rezayat said in technology, the second index after scientific discoveries is invention registration which needs to be attended to. In the sphere of health, Iran is among few countries in the Muslim world which has produced medical-health products using Nanotechnology.
Statistics show that over 15,000 Masters and Ph.D. thesis on Nanotechnology have been produced and 37 universities countrywide offer courses in the subject at Masters level. Some 300 companies work in various fields related to this area and have registered 150 Nano-based products.

Iran's growth rate in science and technology is 11 times more than the average growth of the world's output in 2009 and in terms of total output per year, Iran has already surpassed the total scientific output of countries like Sweden, Switzerland, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Austria or that of Norway.

One can only imagine that after the sanctions end, there will be a boom in Iranian industry and science. Now how can one capitalise on this?
Well, it's still very hard to say, for instance, guys like Dmitry Bochvar, Jores Alferov or all guys from Официальный сайт ИНЭОС РАН - Famous scientists very much invented Nanotech (or say, very much cellular telephony, and , yes, very much of Internet), though, still not Russian scince sucks comparing to SU. So, actually, comercialisaion is must in such fields

Haha. Publishing academic articles only is not equal to scientific production. You need applied science into some real field applications, before it can even be considered real science. @500 @Natan
How did Israel beat almost every other country in the region in applied sciences?

...well, I'd say it's wise-versa, 'real science' is some more of a 'academical science' and applied one is more tech science,.. but , gee, it's more to the terminology point, .. other than that, yep, application, ... but more than that access to Market, which West defines (for instance, west doesn't allow to sell some russian made stuff in, say, europ, due to some 'standerds', which alil like sorta 'dirty competition')

What kind of scientific products does Russia produce apart from military hardware? With your Cold War era ingenuity, you guys could easily surpass Japan and South Korea when it comes to electronics.

...well, different ones... :D
but other than that, I mean, it's just West kills all its tech competitors (by imposing first of all 'standards' non correlations, I know quite stupid example, but, say, Lada/Moskvitch could been sold if europ would allow to the market, but plethora of better examples are in there as well, mainly civil AeroSpace (up to 40% of Worlds' civil aero market in SU times), energy-machinery (turbines/industrial computers - up to 30% Worlds' market during SU time) and so and so forth)

is foreign degrees accepted by Europe/UK.

Their is a lot of cheating or buying degrees.
some of the third world education is memorizing not critical thinking.

what checks do they put in place to make sure the foreigners are legit educated not some fraud or low quality.

Unfortunately USSR didn't put their achievements in science and technology into commercial use thanks to communist ideology.

Here we go again.................blah blah blah
