Iran has designed and tested a scale model of a stealth aircraft, the commander of the Iranian Air Force announced on Monday, Mehr News Agency reported.

The radar-evading airplane, which is called the Sofreh Mahi (flatfish), is one sixth of the size of the real one, Brigadier General Shahsaffi told the Mehr News Agency.

And in the near future, a full-scale version of the aircraft will be manufactured, he added.

He went on to say that the Iranian Air Force plans to manufacture more advanced jet trainer aircraft in cooperation with the Defense Ministry.

Iran has also extended the range of its air-to-air and air-to-ground missiles, he said, adding that the range of Ghased precision-guided bombs will be increased to 100 kilometers in the near future.

Elsewhere in his remarks, he said, "Situations are not important to us... military preparedness is important, and we are ready to respond to the enemies of the Islamic Republic at any time."

In related news, on Monday, the commander of the Iranian Navy, Rear Admiral Habibollah Sayyari, said that Iran is currently building new destroyers.

It is amazing that it looked like the Qaher-313, but this is a more conventional design, secret fighter jet of Iran?

Both are paper planes, please don't post old news.

Stealth fighters are the most up to date news, these are tested on scale models and the qaher-313 is being manufactured, while the one on this pictures will be another surprise to sceptics when it will be showcased like the Qaher-313.
i know that everyone likes to act as a military expert in this forum, but many non zionist experts in the real world were stunned by the possibilities of the qaher-313, and even confirmed that it is a potent fighter. it is not the F-22, or the F-35, but it is tailor made for Iran airspace and Iranian military needs.
I think that Iranians are still working on some details in the avionics and weapon systems but all in all the design phase is finished and the production phase is on.
I do not know if you have noticed or not, but the Iranian are going for the light weight fighter aircrafts for their main air defence needs, all based on one of the most successful fighter plane ever produced ,the F-5, which Iranian experts and pilots know thoroughly, it is a wise decision since all modern American best fighter jets were one way or another inspired by the F-5, the most simple but yet effective fighter jet. they still have upgraded F-14s and Mig-29n for air superiority, but just imagine what a surprise these small stealth fighters would do to enemy crews when they show up close and start firing air-to air missiles, it will be the same effect as the supposed one by the F-22or35, total surprise when a missile hits you.
Small jet fighters are already very difficult to detect by air crews add to them stealth technology and they become virtually indetectible to radar, so, very effective weapons psychologically and in real war.
