Iran hints at legal action against Pakistan over delayed gas pipeline

All sanctions will be removed today.

We already provide electricity to Pakistan via Chabahar port.have we ever cut the power due to political differences?we can be a more trustworthy partner of Pakistan(remember Shah era) comparing to Arabs that have provided you nothing but religious madrasas.buy our gas, develop your Balouchestan.

Anyway Pakistan has to pay for delay penalties regardless of whatever it decides for continuation of project.

Pipe line is a fantasy now as qatar is offering LNG at half the price. You can ppursue all the action but case will be scrapped as soon as evidence will be presented that no investor wants to invest in this dud which was signed by previous government. Current government wont be held liable for action of previous ones. You can try squeezing money out of zardari if it helps.

IP Gas pipeline is bound by various factors

1-Investors willing to invest
2- Negotiations of prices as oil and gas prices have dropped significantly and no one is stupid enough to buy gas at $12/mmbtu when we are getiing LNG at $5.65/mmbtu
3-Willingness of india and china to join the project which wont happen now considering high price tag

No offense but Iran is as good as friend as Arabs can be for us. Both Arabs and Iranians are branches of same tree and will fuel secterian voilence in pakistan if given enough space. You are dillusional if you think that you will anything but squat out of Pakistani government.

.
We have an agreement with Iran that we will buy gas for $15/ MMBTU. However, Turkmenistan is supplying gas to Japan at a rate of $4/ MMBTU,” he said.
Any idea what the reason is for such exorbitant costs for Iranian gas?

Iran should shore up its defences. Fighting KSA and allies on both fronts is not a very smart idea.
