IonTerra melts information from all sensors in the vehicle
11 June, 2018

RtCVI simultaneously processes raw data from different types of sensors in the vehicle and composes a unified picture of the vehicle environment. The solution separates the brain of the autonomic system from the hardware that feeds it with information

IonTerra from Petach Tikvah unveils the rtCVI motorized information smelting platform, which is designed for integration into autonomous vehicles and car safety systems (ADAS). The announcement will take place tomorrow (Tuesday) at the Cognitive Vehicles Conference in Berlin. The rtCVI - Real Time Computer Vision Identification platform collects raw data from all sensors in the vehicle, such as cameras, LiDAR sensors, radar and ultrasound systems, processes them in real time and crosses the information from a number of sources. The system works on the car without the need to install dedicated processors .

Full package of car + cloud
RtCVI is one component of a larger platform that also includes a cloud component called rtGIS. The vehicle software analyzes the information coming from the sensors, and identifies objects and their location in relation to the vehicle. It classifies each object and transmits the classified information (metadata), such as type, location and size, to the cloud software that connects to other sources of information and previous data of the vehicle, to produce an accurate map of the environment. The combination of the two systems together enables the construction of precise orientation maps for the automotive industry.

IonTerra's platform does not rely on Deep Learning or Machine Learning technology, and can therefore be used as an on-board vehicle diagnostic technology for object identification and analysis, or as a complementary technology to existing Deep Learning systems to improve the safety and reliability of an autonomous car. IonTerra CEO Thorsten Buchmeyer said the program's capabilities have already been demonstrated on an Anvidia computer, and the ADAS has also been installed on a number of demo cars from a number of automakers: "Our goal is to provide the most intelligent and flexible software platform."

Ronen Korman, the company's founder and chief operating officer, said that the system has additional capabilities, "such as the ability to create a bird's eye view of the bird's bird." IonTerra was founded in 2013 and operates from the Ofer Park in Petah Tikva. $ 4. million The last financing round was completed in October 2017. During the same period, the company raised approximately $ 2.8 million and is cooperating with Deutsche Telekom, through its subsidiary T-Systems, to provide a comprehensive management system that is indifferent to sensor types In which it separates the brain of the autonomic system from the hardware that feeds it into the data.
