Directorate of Art and Film, Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia will hold a multi-storey International Ramayana Festival the first time on October 6 to 9 September 2013. Where the previous festival in 2012, the Festival Ramayana is a national stratified by presenting hundreds of dancers from eight provinces in Indonesia.Whereas in 2013, the planned some countries will participate to present the best version of the Epic Ramayana each country.

In connection with these activities, the Directorate of Art and Pefilman has undertaken preparatory meeting attended by representatives of the participating countries on the International Ramayana Festival 30 May to 2 June 2013. As discussed in the meeting was the technical activities of the festival and sharing episodes for each participating country festival.In addition to the form of the show, this year's festival also includes seminars and workshops .

Ramayana Festival this year will be held at the Open Stage Ramayana Prambanan, Yogyakarta. Ramayana enlivened by the appearance of the nine countries. Among these countries are Thailand, India, Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Indonesia and of course the host is represented by a contingent of DIY and Bali.

The second event, the Seminar will be held on 7 September 2013, housed in the Yogyakarta Cultural Preservation Hall. Each state will collect papers on the development of Ramayana in each country, then printed and distributed to all participants. As for who will present the paper are representative of the country India, Indonesia, Singapore, and Thailand.

On the last day, in addition held the closing ceremony will also be heldworkshop which was held on 9 September 2013. Implementationworkshop is divided into two places, namely at the Indonesian Art Institute Surakarta and Indonesian Art Institute Yogyakarta. Each participating country will be demonstrating traditional dances of each country.

You live in Indonesia ?

How are Indians being treated over there ? Is it a secular nation ?

i think it best place to work and live, Indonesia is more secular country than India ,still they give more value to culture and heritage , you will be surprise many Muslim people keep hundu god name ,very ancient name like
swastika,Indra,bhima,sinta,Sukarno are common name here

in ache province(Sumatra island) they have sharia law ,another hand they are making world largest lord Vishnu statute in bali which will be gold plated(wisnu garuda kencana)

what they are trying to build new one, which will be larger than statue of liberty, project getting delay because of funding ,because it is very ambitious project

Kudos to Indonesian's.

However, it's a pity that, politicians (irrespective of political parties) will never allow religious harmony prevailing in India :(
 
Other countries with large Hindu populations should have been invited like Nepal, Guyana, Suriname and Trinidad and Tobago.
