Interesting Contest in NA 105 Gujrat II

3. Ch Mubashar Hussain PML-N
4. Afzal Gondal PTI

it will be a hard contest , main fight is expected between Ch Pervai Ellahi and his nephew Ch Mubashar of PML-N.

Why are you discounting Afzal Condal, any reason?

Traditionally, voters in Gujrat have always voted for individuals and not the party. Unless IK was himself standing in NA105, its going to be extremely tough for Afzal Gondal to beat Pervaiz Elahi or Mubashar Hussain. If Imran was standing himself, he would have smoked them all.

I thought ch.Mukhtar was a very strong candidate, not that i want him to win, but he had won consecutively on this seat, i think it would be a close contest for all four candidates.

First Of All Ahmed Mukhat Is Not Ch, He Is "Cobbler" by Birth. Ch Is Title "Entitled" to Only "Land Lords" mainly Jutt Land Lords. Secondly this Guy Never won consecutively. First Time He Won in 1993 Elections, Second Time In Elections 2008 both times by defeating Shujaat Hussain.
In 1993 he was Supported By Jamat-e-Islami and PPPP, same Thing Happen In 2008, this time he was Supported By Nawaz League as JI Boycotted Elections. Remember PML-N doesn't field Candidate in 2008 In NA-105. But this Time PML-N, PTI and JI has their own Candidates, this will Ultimately help Ch Pervaiz Elahi.

This seat has been won by Q leage and PPP alternatively. As 60 % of this constituency consist of Rural electrorate , where "biradries" and "dharas" play an important role , so ideolgical vote of PTI will not be in a winning position, although it will make its presence felt.
N leage has a strong base in gujrat city while for Ch Ahmad Mukhtar of PPP this contest is tough as his old time allies both in city and adjoing rural areas has shifted loyalties , either to Q leage or N leage.

Had PPP selected a good candidtae in PP 110 , they have much better position. But by choosing a weak candidate it will not be easy for Ahmad Mukhtar to give a tough time to Ch Pervaiz Elahi

I am resident of this area. People here always Vote to Individuals. Mainly voters are divided in Pro-Zahoor Elahi Family and Anti-Zahoor Elahi Family. Ahmed Mukhtar won this seat 2 times, always in One To One competition.

Simple Formula Agr Pervaiz Elahi Ko Harana Hy Tu PPPP+PML-N+JI+PTI ko One Candidate Utarna Chaiyay Taa K Anti-Zahoor Elahi Family Vote Divide na Ho, which fortunately or unfortunately didn't happen in Elections 2013. Otherwise Yeh Seat Halway Ke Plate Hy Pervaiz Elahi K Liyay.

Area especially PP-110 is dominated by Waraich, Sahi,Natt and Gujar clan. Pervaiz Elahi has a Huge Support in area being a Jutt. People here used to refer Q-League as Jutt League. So In Sha Allah this seat is of Zahoor Elahi Family.

Like the first poster said, it's a tough competition between Chaudhry Mubashar of PML-N and Parvez Ellahi with Chaudhry Mubashar being the favourite. If you see the random feeling in Gujrat, most people are currently supporting PML-N... The entire business association seems to be supporting PML-N. However there is still a strong potential for PTI among the youth but it seems unlikely to win from this constituency for this General Election. Chaudhry Mubashar had joined PTI and left the party after he was not given a ticket by the PTI leadership. PTI had a greater chance if the ticket was allotted to Ch Mubashar instead of Afzal Gondal. He is more like a wealthy person but does not even know how to speak properly as per some people in Gujrat.

Both Ch Mubashar and Parvez Ellahi comes with individual vote bank followed by the party vote bank, whereas Afzal Gondal will probably have the party vote bank only. PTI does have thousands of votes in Gujrat (at least 200 people pledged to vote for PTI in front of me)... but it may not be enough to win in Gujrat (unless something happens)...

No chance for Ahmed Mukhtar

It's like out of 100... 45 people wants to vote for PML-N, 30 for Q, 20 for PTI and 5 for other parties including Ahmed Mukhtar

Major chunk of NA-105 (by population) is residing in City of Gujrat. I couldn't find a single vote of PML-Q in Muslim bazar of Gujrat and you know there are thousands of traders in that particular area alone. It was certain that PML-N will lose from NA-105 until last week when the ticket was given to Naseer Sidh (an outsider who could only rely upon the N vote bank and no individual vote would come in handy)... but at the last minute the gave the ticket to Chaudhry Mubashir who is a strong favourite in my particular party of the city... In rural areas Parvez Ellahi is very popular, no question in that

Funny thing is, the residence of PML-Q is just outside Muslim bazar but they are not very popular in adjacent areas but far in rural areas only
