In Muslim world other than ISI hardly any intelligence agency is considered any force which is not good so every Arab member should discuss about its countries intelligence agency and How Muslim world agencies could help each other.

I am interested in external not internal. Yes dictators and kings are dam good when it comes to internal spying but external is the real test.

Saudi Internal intelligence is very potent as are Jordanians.

DGFI was kinda good but then again, a certain someone made sure they become toothless to please India (although that certain someone doesn't have full control over the agency). DGFI was known to be trained by ISI, although there were no concrete proof of it.

Whereas for Arab Intelligence, if they had any, then in Yemen there wouldn't be so many civilian casualties. They wouldn't bomb weddings thinking them as a Houthi base.

Intelligence service in Egypt is much more advanced in tactics and manpower than any other Arab country +Pakestan.
This is FACT.
But I will not post any of these operations which is mainly against Israel because of this type of ignorance in the thread .
please next time you need to say what you think about a subject try to read a little or even google it.

It is incredibly hard to compare intelligence agencies and to measure their successes or failures. It is due to the nature of their work. You will not hear or read about the work of clandestine organisations that dabble in espionage, surveillance, counter terrorism, and even wet work is necessary.

The fact that a lot of Arab intelligence agencies are still wrapped in mysticism and secrecy is an indication of at least some level of competence. Their reputations among the local populace and even Jihadis should also give you an inclination of their prowess. However, not all are born equal.

As for using Pakistan as a bench mark then I must say you are being far too patriotic. Pakistani intelligence has for decades blundered its way through the region creating a menace that has resulted in thousands of lives lost both at home and abroad.

I would prefer our intelligence agencies to remain in the shadows. Having a reputation either for good or bad is an indication that something has gone terribly wrong.

It's a fact that arabs have produced very few highly professional people in any field in last hundred years or so. pakistan has great minds but we lack another very important factor to attain glory i.e. sincerity, loyalty with religion, nation.Whatever we do we do it for personal gains or for short time benefits that's why our performance is miserable from sports to international politics
