Install Windows 10 for Free !!!

I have seen that very few software especially video editing software are compatible with Linux. So you guys only use these Mint/Ubuntu just for internet surfing
As a matter of fact no. You have handbrake , cinderela and quite a few other audio video software available for linux . You might not find the same software for linux as for windows but there are software to do the job and in some cases it exceeds the quality in linux

.
Windows OS costs some 100-200 dollars, pounds or euros in western countries, but thousands of rupees in south Asian countries, here original OS comes in cheaper pre-loaded OEM copies with computers, only a handful would buy it in retail.

Yes, so just buy a computer that gives it preinstalled. If you are building your own PC, then you can buy windows, because now from windows 8 onwards, you can see it is free upgrades.

I had a laptop with Windows 8.0, free upgrade to windows 8.1 and now windows 10. Meaning, 5 years of OS life guaranteed in that 100 USD. That ain't too bad, is it?

People shell out 800-1200 USD on something like a Apple shytphone, yet it gets obsolete every september.

.
There are also specialist distros for the enthusiastic few like av linux have you tried that . Or play around with other distros . Do have a look at distrowatch.com

. .
Then ONLY those with ORIGINAL LICENSED copies of Windows should participate here...let's see how many are there! :D
i' ve got original actually received from my university every student is provided with a acccount where anyone can download any original microsoft software and bunch of other companies softwares through an online portal.

.
but one thing i miss about windows is the powerpoint program... so easy to create presentations.

tell me if you know a linux replication of it.

Well Libreoffice comes with Impress. They claim compatibility with PowerPoint (but not scripting). Have not used it myself

Trying to solve everything with wine is not the solution. If Linux wants to be taken seriously in the PC market then it must have some killer native apps like Office, photoshop and outlook. This was the very philosophy which led to the demise of IBM's OS/2. IBM said that because OS/2 can run WIndows and DOS apps it should turn out just fine. It had IBM's full blessing. This was in a time when phrase "Nobody got fired for choosing IBM" was still in vogue. But very few businesses opted for OS/2 as many preferred DOS and later WIndows 95 and OS/2 met an untiemly demise. I am not saying that Linux will go the way of OS/2 but far from it. Linux has major share in speciality applications like you mentioned Super computers and servers. What it lacks is killer apps and games. Yes even one good game will convince gamers to go for Linux just like mario series is enough a justification to buy nintendo's toys.

Another point I like to make as @Donatello mentioned is when nowadays thanks to Micorosfts lobbying if yo buy Laptop from any of the major vendors you are paying for the price of Windows (You can get a refund if you want) but now it seems window upgrade will be a free download
