Hi Phong: On Saturday, two ships of the Indian Navy’s Eastern Naval Command (ENC), the INS Shivalik and INS Karmuk, docked at Chua Ve port in the northern port city of Hai Phong for a five-day friendship visit. INS Karmuk (P64) is a Kora class corvette and INS Shivalik (F47) is the lead ship of her class of multi-role frigates.

This is the fifth visit of the two naval ships to Hai Phong, aiming to reinforce cooperation and friendship between India and Vietnam as well as between the two countries’ navies and people.

The Indian naval delegation, led by Vice Admiral Ajit Kumar P, who is also Commander of ENC, is scheduled to pay courtesy visit to leaders of the Hai Phong People’s Committee, the High Command of Military Zone 3 and the Naval High Command.

The ship crew will also engage in an exchange with students of the Maritime University and present gifts to children at the Hoa Phuong Orphanage.

In addition, they will visit Hanoi and pay tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at his mausoleum and tour a number of tourist sites in Hai Phong and Ha Long Bay in Quang Ninh province.

The visit aims to tighten the traditional relations and multi-faceted cooperation between India and Vietnam , including in national defence.

On 5th may, the Indian Navy had announced two month deployment of Indian Naval Ships to South East Asia.

I hope these ships will not result in high environmental pollution in the South China Sea's fragile ecosystem.

thank you great friend, hope the relations between our countries improve a lot over the coming years.
Yes, no doubt about that. It has been confirmed by leaders of the two countries.

I hope these ships will not result in high environmental pollution in the South China Sea's fragile ecosystem.

That's your hope. SCS is clearly the international sea, not a dreaming lake of Chinese.
