Initial findings show Syria targeted the plane with a long-range missile

I would like to see a Turkish account of flight path

this is Syria's account...

1. F-4 Phantom takes off from Erhac airbase, Turkey, at approximately 10:28 local time (07:28 GMT), on 22 June
2. Syria says the jet enters its airspace at 11:40 (08:40 GMT)
3. Turkish military loses contact with the plane at 11:58 (08:58 GMT), while it is over Hatay province
4. Syria says its air defences engaged aircraft about 1km (0.5 nautical miles) from the coast and that it crashed into the sea 10km (5 nautical miles) west of Om al-Tuyour. Turkey says the plane was 24km (13 nautical miles) from Syria, which under international law is considered international airspace

This one compares the two sides accounts

Syrian and Turkish government officials gave conflicting
stories of last Friday’s incident at their borders.
SYRIAN VERSION

State television broadcast this flight path of a Turkish F-4 fighter. As the plane flew at low altitude toward the coast, land-based Syrian antiaircraft batteries fired at it with cannons that have a maximum range of less than two miles. Syrian salvage workers recovered wreckage from the jet showing cannon damage.

TURKISH VERSION

The jet “mistakenly entered” Syrian airspace over the Mediterranean, but left after Turkish radar operators warned the crew. There was no warning from Syria. Nine minutes later, the jet was struck by a heat-seeking missile at a point 13 nautical miles from the Syrian coast (A).The jet turned toward shore and crashed at this point (B).

However Turkey said that there was no explosives found.... and then it denied that it was shot... now it saying that it was shot.... hmmmm Turkey keep changing their minds....

"The actual cause of the incident will be established after the plane wreckage is raised from the seabed," the General Staff of the armed forces said in a statement

“Parts of the retrieved plane wreck were given a metallurgic examination, and traces of potassium chlorate, which is used as an oxidizing agent in missile fuels and as the main substance in missile warheads, were found splashed on the plane’s fuselage” the report was quoted as saying.

Now, i'm expecting bold moves from the Turkish government.

But the military prosecutor’s report said that even though there were no indication that a missile impacted the plane, the plane’s remains carried traces of a material found in missiles. The report added there was no damage to the plane that might have been caused by fire from an anti-aircraft gun, as Syrian authorities have suggested.

from the same source you gave me

Plus if the missile was fired from Syria wouldn't the Turkish and other countries see that on their radar?? at least the Turkish radar should have caught that missile right??

.
You should read again that part.

The report added there was no damage to the plane that might have been caused by fire from an anti-aircraft gun, as Syrian authorities have suggested.

Means, Syrian authorities are lying.

“The missile detonated just behind and to the left of the plane. The blast caused the plane and the pilots to lose the ability to continue a stable flight. The plane continuously lost altitude as it banked left, until it crashed into the water in a position slightly tipped to the left with the plane’s nose pointing up,” the report said.

What do you want? war?? you already have war... you are fighting with the terrorists and hosting their camps and training them..

You should read again that part.

so no missile and no AA gun... then what is it?? again Turkish keep changing its mind....

and tell us what happened at that NATO meeting after the jet got shot?

I don't know... Taking out the Syrian missile batteries would be nice.

Read the quote in my previous post.

In your dreams......

and the quote you posted also included from the same source of not being sure if it was a missile.... again wouldn't the Turkish radar catch the missile ?? really i think Turkish radars cover northern part of Syria at least....

Apparently, your English is even worse than mine. They say: Although there are no damage that might caused by direct missile impact, there are traces of materials which belongs to a missile. Which means, it was the missile but not a direct hit, which means the blast effect of a missile downed the jet.

Clear?

okay now what about the Turkish Radars and the Missile... if the Missile was shot from Syria... that should be caught on the Turkish radars correct?? especially that USA have a defense system there...

According to an official report, radar data obtained from the plane’s computer indicated that the plane had received a signal from a missile

“To make things more complicated, a mid-range missile can be fired from the sea. Turkish radars can only see Syrian land, so a mid-range missile may not be seen from Turkey. Firing the missile from a short range would not eliminate the time in which pilots could save themselves. Furthermore, Syria was not alone on the sea. We know that two frigates from the Russian Navy were there, too,”

I'm sure the Turkish Army will not care if you convinced or not before they make a step though.
