STOCKHOLM: Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi and Rohan Bopanna won the Stockholm Open on Sunday, their second ATP doubles title of the season and third overall together, Times of India reported.
The Indo-Pak Express defeated their Brazilian opponents in straight sets, 6-1, 6-3 in a match that barely lasted an hour.
Marcelo Melo and Bruno Soares were no match for the duo in the 60,000 hard court final. Qureshi and Bopanna split the prize money 29400 each, also gaining 250 ranking points each.
Earlier Qureshi and Bopanna had won a narrow battle against Dutchman Robin Hasse and Canadian Milos Raonic, beating them 7-6, 3-6, 11-9 in the ATP Gerry Weber Open final in Halle, Germany.
