Actually Marathas saw significant Hindu consolidation in the past. But never did it happen to this extent as of today. The way all of the castes now rally under the flag of Hindutva is a challenge.

Instead of giving reservations at the expense of upper castes, Dalits will now be encouraged to snatch the rights and resources of Muslims. Net winner will be Brahmins and net loser will be Muslims.
