Source is in Innoprom 2016 and has sent some details over chat.

This includes the following
  1. 12 S-400 systems under Make In India Plan
  2. 2 Akula II submarines - First lease and then purchase once lease expires
  3. 4 new Tu 22M3 long ranged bombers under black project
  4. 80 new Mi17V5 helicopters
  5. 6 new IL 76 aircraft for purchasing Phalcon AWACS from Israel and integration
  6. 200 Ka226T for which a factory is being setup
  7. 1000+ new T90 tanks with upgrades
  8. Up-gradation and modernization of Mig 29 aircraft for $ 0.9 Billion
  9. Further plans for JV work of Brahmos.
Substantial progress is also made in FGFA project for which separate announcement will be made by the governments

I do not see much significance of 4 Tu 22 bombers, S-400 and Akulas are the key.

While we are occupied with building SSBN, 2 more SSN can add a lot for meanwhile.

I have always said that.(about SSNs) And the better news, the first submarine could come faster ( hint there are 6 Akulas presently lying across 2 major shipyards and 1 base in Russia , one among them was Kashlot , so it was offered , but there is second option , another hull of Russian Navy is under midway of its overhaul after Kunbazz nearly completed its overhaul , and guess what.... this matter is known by both sides....)

The surprise for me is T90 tanks ... it's been 3 months when I got confirmed news about 350+ 350 purchase of Tanks , and Total numbers near 2400 T90s... 1000 will push them to 2700, may be the numbers of upgraded T72s are being cut down

I do not see much significance of 4 Tu 22 bombers, S-400 and Akulas are the key.

Just for hints 2500+Km air launched cruise missile + range of Tu22M3 ..... now compare the distance from A&N to south Vietnam......

. .
The news of 6 more Il76 AWACS kinda made me sad , I was told it will be 3(in service ) + 2( under manufacturing ) + 1 (planned ) , complemented by near 2 dozen EMB145 based systems and 8 A330based systems , meaning EMB145 numbers will be cut down....

What's the point of buying more T90's when Arjum MK2 are quite capable and available already.
Price......

@PARIKRAMA add to the list 4-8 Ka31s, they are also confirmed(you too can confirm it) ....for IAC 1.

Tu22M3 long ranged bombers.. so we have some already
Is it correct @PARIKRAMA that India has Backfires in its inventory?
6 new IL 76 aircraft for purchasing Phalcon AWACS from Israel and integration
This is in addition to Airbus 330 platform for Indian AWACS? If true, this will be a mighty mighty force multiplier (total 9 Phalcons). @Abingdonboy
12 S-400 systems under Make In India Plan
:toast_sign: this probably is the best news. What it implies is that, India can purchase additional batteries in future as well.

Substantial progress is also made in FGFA project for which separate announcement will be made by the governments
Yes, i too heard that a big announcement can be made at the end of this year in December when Indo Russian Annual Co-operation meeting is due.

.
What price when the money is going back to the economy itself if you buy make in India.

Its more like " Army has got some ' X' rupees and threat assessment requires it new regiments both in north and west along with upgradation of 2000 tanks on west ..... and they have got to do it within that. Don't worry about MK2 ,300-450 Arjuns will be eventually in service.

Further buying T90s is from also Avadi only...

Sometimes I wonder whether our DM is on this forum as @PARIKRAMA because more often then not most of the things he posts are true.
On a serious note if the purchase/lease of Backfire is confirmed who is going to the operator of them? IAF or IN?
Secondly what happened to the news of India purchasing T90 MS?

India did used to have 4 Tu22M
They were leased from Russia for the Indian Navy while the The 8 Tu142s were going in for MLU
Their is no record of them ever being returned
And Tu142 upgrade got finished in 2012, which will see them through their retirement in year 2026

3 A50 in service + 2 under integration + one more was planned , which from this source seems to be increased to 6 , meaning 5 +6 = 11.

New tank regiments for north and north east has been confirmed at the highest levels and at least 500 more T90s will be procured ( few from Russia and mostly from Avadi)
