India's newest gun: Fast and deadly

. . .
So if procure these 100 guns, then the gap reduces signficantly. cool
Pakistan has already procured more then 100 Norinco SH-1 Wheeled SPG. More are expected to come in next year. Pakistan is also believed to be the potential operator of PLZ-05 or PLZ-45.

Our Indian friends are again all over the moon hearing their country spending hard-earned cash on expensive foreign weapons?

And that too is detrimental to India's homegrown defence industry?

This is 2016 and yes,pls do start making your own rifles。

It is not detrimental to India's homegrown defence industry.

This program is one of the first major contracts given to a private firm as the lead integrator, L&T. This program will not only see a private firm assemble armor, but also create another armor manufacturing plant in the country, which OFB had a monopoly. L&T will have significant input in the platform as well.

Your nation is a global pariah in Defence market due to Arms embargo despite having all cash, hence has to resort to clandestine methods or purchasing from whoever is willing to sell. So,we do not expect to understand the idea of choosing and purchasing.

Importing weapons also comes with clause of ToT or local manufacturing with Private sector partnership, which immensely benefit homegrown defence industry.

INSAS rifles have been inducted in Indian armed forces nearly two decades ago. Is there censorship in China regarding this information?

Cognitive inertia my friend. To see otherwise would mean severe mental trauma. :)

cognitive inertia describes the human inclination to rely on familiar assumptions and exhibit a reluctance and/or inability to revise those assumptions, even when the evidence supporting them no longer exists or when other evidence would question their accuracy
