India’s Dogfight Loss Could Be a Win for U.S. Weapons-Makers

.
First there were 3 pilots captured, then it was one. First there were no F-16s used but now we know. Then there was the fabricated video of pilot Abhinandan. Right from Kargil to this present incident Pakistan Army has been always caught pants down lying.
And the most important point- India has "officially" claimed of downing a PAF jet. India's airmarshal has written an article in Hindustan Times declaring Abhinandan as the first Indian to shoot down a F-16 jet. India has "officially" stated that it has provided proof of use of F-16s by the PAF and it's ultimate downing to the US. But the DG ISPR is tight liped. Atleast a outright denial would mean that one of the parties here is lying. No official statement by the Army or Airforce of Pakistan yet claiming they didn't loose any jets on that day. So u get the drift..

First of all, the official spokesperson of the entire Military, officially and categorically stated that NO F-16's were used in any mission that day. So that answers the last part of your post and the first part of your post about the use of F-16's.

As for the initial part of your post, the official spokesperson said that 3 IAF pilots were downed, 2 were captured and hunt was on for the 3rd pilot; this statement later changed to 1 IAF pilot and it could very well be that the 2nd person captured wasn't really a pilot of the Indian Air Force but of a third airforce (Israeli??) but this is still very confusing. And Pakistani Military has always officially revealed strategic facts from Kargil to the current skirmishes.

P.S. Was it the same Indian Air Marshal who was unceremoniously removed from the theater of war immediately after the downing of the 'F-16'?? I know it is hard to connect the dots and put 2 and 2 together where your national pride is at stake but mate, do you absolutely have to come online and post Bullshit??? I mean even a kid understands the implication of IAF shooting down a PAF F-16 and that too with a Bison; that would virtually render the entire PAF useless!!

And it was quickly rebuffed by IAF "officially" with solid evidence. Those evidence has now been shared with the US.

Again no official statements. First they officially stated capturing two Indian pilots then it Changed to one. Where is the other pilot who was admitted to the hospital? No Israeli fighter pilot would operate in a SU30 or Mig 21, so are you implying that the F-16 which went down was a Israeli jet?

Idiot, no one was removed. Air Marshal Hari Kumar turned 60 in Feb and as per norms retired on the last day of the month. Unlike Pakistan, Indian military personnel do not decide there retirement age. The rules are fixed and non negotiable. Withing, 2 hrs of the aerial engagement, entire Indian airspace which were closed down were thrown open. Civilian opearations continued normaly. It gives a sense that IAF didn't take this incident seriously so there was no emergency which might have led to the postponment of his retirement.

Well, maybe that’s on the table too?

Sure thing. Might as well provide the F-22.

If ‘Murica does such a thing China is going to get involved too.

All China needs is an invitation considering how the Yanks are behaving in the SCS.

They’ll be no American order now. I’m sure folks have been following what Trump did to India regarding the fixing of tariffs which enjoyed zero access to the US since the 70’s. The Indians are irate.
Expect an order for European jets e.g. Rafale and a push for the Russian fifth generation craft.

Word on the street is India has requested a Squadron of colonial vipers from the orange man in the White House.

I'm so happy they keep wasting their time and money on 4th gen acquisitions. If they spend it on aircraft we have been using for decades, that would be even better for us since we know these weapons better than they do.

Russia's development of 5th gen aircraft is, alhamdulillah, slacking. It wouldn't surprise me if we got 5th gen fighters from China before India got their hands on a single one.

i have a theory!

usa knew that indians ire delusional and their military inspite of their huge military budget compared to Pakistan is incompetent and ill trained and sensing huge potential to sell their hardware usa backed Modi and pushed him launch an assault on Pakistan and as soon india failed usa like a sincere friend offered them the latest and greatest equipment known to mankind in return for $$$.

how easy it is to fool supa indians!

.
Huge military budget??just by name 67% of it spent on salaries and pension and if cut down more for regular ordinance forces need what left for anything new?now wonder when they say we got no more than 10 days of ammunition to fight. And when they increase budget for new buy seems do to full their pockets as when i compare rafale first and second deal really amazed what they are thinking??

The evidence of a piece of AMRAAM sold to Taiwan? God, I hope you guys share that evidence with the US; they also need to know what they are dealing with.

NO; since there was no F-16 deployed anywhere in that theater of aerial warfare, there is no possibility of an F-16 going down. There is, however, a very very slight, almost negligible possibility that the SU-30MKI was being flown by an Indian Pilot along with an Israeli Co-Pilot. At this stage, all we have are theories of what happened to the pilots of SU-30MKI which was shot down. And I am hoping that PAF or neutral sources would clear up the mess.

I understand your frustration which led to the insanity in your post and I will overlook that.

What a beautiful coincidence that the IAF Air Marshal retired the day after IAF took a beating. And that too rather unceremoniously even though it is common knowledge that retirements are halted in the event of wars.

As for your comments on the Indian Airspace being reopened 2 hours after the aerial engagement, I do not doubt that it was reopened and why shouldn't it be reopened, after all the Prime Minister of Pakistan had made it clear, within an hour of Pakistan's response to Indian aggression, that Pakistan was not going to escalate and that we will merely reciprocate Indian actions.

. . .
It will be hilarious if India opt for F16 after claiming its vintage Mig21 shot down F16.
