India’s COVID-19 Crisis: Slavery, Suicide And A Rising Extreme Poor | Insight | Full Episode

Selective highlight of specific data to score points. I can pull out few data points where China is behind 19th century Europe or US.. would you agree that China is 100 years behind Europe or the US?
You call life expectancy and the nutrition conditions of kids as "selective highlights", like it is something that is randomly picked up and does not matter at all???? Is this just your personal view, or a well-accepted view among India people?

.
Literacy rate must also be a selective indicator to embarrass India intentionally.

Literacy rate, adult total (% of people ages 15 and above) : India today is 74.37%, that is even lower than China 30 years before (77.785% @ 1990)

.
Hunger situation of the entire population must also be a selective indicator for the embarrassment of India.

GHI Index (Global Hunger Index)

China's score in 1981 was 20.1%; that's BETTER than India today (27.2)! I.e. the gap on hunger is even bigger than 40years!!

All these none-monetary indicators, e.g. life expectancy, nutrition conditions of small kids, literacy rate of adults, hunger situation of the whole population etc, as suggested by the Indian member @Saudang , are NOTHING important, but some randomly-picked indicators that are meaningless to India.

If these people concerned 10% as much as they are concerned about China's democracy, well, their country would be better off today.

Either, their concern about China is FAKE as CNN,

Or, they are self-hating psyco-nuts.

Indians are altruistic and compassionate people, they don't care about themselves going hungry and having no place to sleep every day and night, but care more about if every Chinese citizen can have rich, balanced square meals, a nice private car, a well paid job...

Great people, indeed.

China is lucky to have such a generous poor country as a neighbour.

Loool That was real sarcasm. 😅

I am not saying that these criteria are not important or relevant, but all the other indicators are equally important. as an example, with similar per capita income to China, other countries like Argentina or Romania achieved these numbers many decade ahead of China ..

Point is, all countries do no grow identical to each other in the same path

I'm wondering if you and I are living on the same planet? Or maybe you are simply too lazy to run some very quick and easy check, although I've presented you all the links/resources of the indicators I shared you?

Your statement: ( Argentina or Romania) with similar per capita income to China
The reality is: GDP per capita wise, it is actually until very recent years that China catches up Argentina, but still lagging behind Romania:

Your statement: other countries like Argentina or Romania achieved these numbers many decade ahead of China .
Reality: China is performing equally good, or maybe even better on these indicators. For example, Life expectancy, China's latest score better than Romania and Argentia.

Global Hunger Index: the three countries are all with GHI score "<5"

Children under five years who are stunted
The most recent scores of the three countries are:
- Argentina's 2019 score was 7.9%;
- China's 2013 score was 8.1%;
- Romania's 2002 score was 12.8%

Seriously, tell us how you get the stupid idea that "with similar per capita income to China, other countries like Argentina or Romania achieved these numbers many decade ahead of China "?? Or where you get all the biased ideas on China? Told by your FREE and DEMOCRAZY media and political leaders?
