Prime Minister Imran Khan and his Malaysian counterpart Mahathir Mohamad spoke over the phone on Monday regarding the situation in Kashmir.

India has repealed articles 35A and 370 of its Constitution, revoking special status granted to Indian-Administered Kashmir. The move comes after India locked down Indian-Administered Kashmir, cut off internet and cell phone services and put senior leaders under house arrest. It also deployed thousands of additional troops to the region.

The Indian attempt to change the status of Kashmir is against United Nations resolutions, said PM Khan, adding that it will disrupt regional peace. Illegal actions of the Indian government will deteriorate the relations between the two neighbouring countries, he remarked.

The Malaysian PM said that his country is keeping an eye on the situation in Indian-administered Kashmir. He said that he is looking forward to meet PM Khan during the upcoming UNGA session.

Why should Mahathir release a statement when the Prime Minister of Pakistan hasn't even tweeted about the situation himself?

IK might not have tweeted, but officially Pakistan condemned India's action of repealing (actually modifying) the Article 370.

. . .

I normally avoid you for your foul mouth that shows your marasi upbringing.

Anyways, Duffer these tweets are about the cross border shelling. So far not a single tweet about the Indian decision of dividing the state and removing Art 370.

Not good enough

What do you expect of IK in the current situation?

As I have said previously, an address on national TV reassuring the Kashmiri people of our support.

Optics matter and the youth of Kashmir are watching. Callous behaviour on our part will play into Indian hands.

@OsmanAli98 nice job liking that post !

What a coward leadership we have got.--- This PM is looking for a peaceful solution through the useless uno. Plz somebody tell this man that his tweets and calls to Erdogan/Mahatir will get us nothing ------ You have to take your right through blood and ammo & not through statements.
and once you grow some courage and take tangible action, these countries will definitely help in some ways.
