India will have four operational nuclear-powered ballistic missile-carrying submarines become operational by 2026 as a second(S3) SSBN is likely to become operational in the Indian Navy next year, which will be followed by a third (S4) and a fourth (S4*) submarine by 2026. India's 3rd generation S5 class submarine program might enter production stage sometime in 2027 onwards.

The S5 program officially started in 2015 and in 2019, a hydrodynamic test model of a submarine leaked online that didn't resemble any other older design suggesting considerable initial work has been carried out. S-5, a 13000-ton displacement submarine will require a new bigger dockyard at Ship Building Centre (SBC) in Vishakapatnam before production work commences.

Do not worry, missiles are tiny things. Our WALTON has started to produce nuts and bolts in its factories somewhere in BD.

Our great philosopher @UKBengali should say now how long BD will take to catch up if Hasina Bibi remains in power. I will not be surprised if he or someone else comes up with our fake GDP figures to prove India should learn things from BD.

INS Arighat is taking a long time to get inducted though, It's been 6 years since INS Arihant came into service. Let's hope the 2026 timelines are met.

I don't know if I should be sharing this but I've been quite deep into the sub base at Vizag. That's where India brings the hurt.

It is very good news...

We need better SSBM submarines against China with 5000 KM missiles.

Because it will be a guarantee that China will never try to do silly things or join a war against India.

Bangladesh shouldn’t compete with India Millitarily it will turn Bangladesh into Pakistan or Afghanistan
The quality of life of an average individual in Bangladesh is much better than an average Pakistani or Afghani and it’s reflected in average life expectancy

Indians should ponder less about missile contribution in a war. War is done on the ground by the troops with guns and the like in their hands.

America failed to win in Afghanistan. Missiles are good as a part of technology development. In actual war, it has limitations.

Think Russia in Ukraine. All wars will be fought in Ukraine-style. So, better IA improves the quality of soldiers.

A nuclear armed submarine at sea ensures you never become a Ukraine.

War has evolved boots on the ground is important but it's effective only if there's a proper supply line, ATGMs, artillery support, drones, good intel on ground, UCAVs with loitering munitions etc.
America was fighting against a radical idea not the people, they could've bombed whole Afghanistan like twice or something if they wished to without retribution
Russia is losing as they have a massively fucked up military with the age old doctrine of throwing bodies tillt he enemy runs out of bullets and surrenders. I mean I've seen videos of so many lone tanks without any support and soldiers just wandering around by themselves. They're burning into their soviet era inventory now with the sanctions making manufacturing of newer tech a pain in the ***. And guess what NATO rules still don't allow Ukraine to strike deep inside Russia if West wanted to they could give those weapons or permission for HIMARS launches on key areas.

NO, you did not my point. To avoid a ground war.. you must have such a weapon in your inventory so that any other country will not try to mess with you.

If you have the ability to destruct then automatically, there will be peace between two countries like China and India..... For example - during the cold war..... no war happened due to both parties having sufficient power to send each other to the stone age.

The fact that they are not attacking the Russian mainland is the only thing preventing Ukraine from eating a nuke.

Nuke is a deterrent but a red line which is unlikely to be crossed unless NATO invades Russia and are about to capture Moscow.
Putin is not foolish even if he is he will be "stopped" by others in command that's the nature of nukes.
Once a nuke is launched it will change the path of human race forever so far we have only seen nuke as an detterent.
