its painful to read, but Apaches picked pakistani troops in salala like animals ..

Most of Indian Apaches are with the Air Force and not the army. Don’t make sense to me much, as I had always thought that Apaches were for close air support for ground troops :undecided:

. .
It might be more difficult than it seems to counter these advanced attack helicopters. MANPADS might prove to be of little help. We will primarily have to rely on the incompetence of the Indian Aviation.

I don't have much knowledge on how such advanced helis. can be countered.

Indian Army Apache orders will increase with time, these will be command units guiding less sophisticated Dhruv WSI, LCH which will be in numbers

How is this even related to the topic....don't you see any difference between American and Indian capabilities.....besides, Pak forces on the Afghan border until then weren't equipped to deal with any aerial threats.

We have all the systems in place to counter any threat from Indians.....presently even their SU-30s are staying well clear of the LOC......just the new Indian warlord is trying to calm rattled Indian nerves and earn some brownies for himself.

Apache is good against MANPADS but will be interesting how FM-90 and Apache face off each other.

We never deployed air defence on afghan border as terrorists and afghan army were never an aerial threat.
Our air defence on Indian border is not easy to pass through.
Secondly US deployed aircrafts in salala attack.

Apaches will be flying low, tree top level, .. ground cluter will make it hard to hit them ... if pakistan mechanized and infantry units are not equipped with short ranfr manpads, it can be difficult to deal with them ..
US has strategic relation with India, they can buy whatever is on the shelf .. there are few exceptions...

i dont know the difference between us and indian longbows.. will look at it
