Indian Vice President blames foreign rule for lack of respect for women

LOL! your statement says that you do not read. As i posted earlier and repeating last time, Original version of book is not available, what we read today british version of Manu-Smriti. No way to verify with from where it was translated.
So the British wrote manusmriti from scratch.

I guess Buddha was a liar too. Because there was no caste system and caste discrimination during his time.

Have you actually read any buddhist cannons ? Because if you had you would not be saying such things

Buddha is on record saying how a Kshatriya is "better" and more "superior" than a brahmin. This is after he got enlightened (also because he was a kshatriya) .

Read my other post to educate yourself.

Book by Ambedkar is really good book. Also read other books from Ambedkar explaining how muslim conducts annihilation of dalits using rape as potent mean.

Jainism and Budhism are like protestants to Catholics of Christianity. Objecting certain activities prevalent during that period of time. Buddhism relies heavily on older texts from vedas. Reading is good habit.

You must be a Hindu pervert obsessed with the religion ! My questions were simple.

1. Who introduced Sati , Devadasi system to our society ? We Indians or Mughals and Brits ?
2. Budha was against caste system and or any discrimination. When was he born ? Before Mughals period of after theirs? ( I know about Buddhism much better than you for sure).

This thread is not about your Hinduism or how best were your brahmans to launch satellites millions of years back and invented nuclear bombs before human were born.

And you must be a pervert to spin lies to suite your agenda.

Devadasi = NUNS.

The question you should be asking is who converted these Hindu nuns into prostitutes during Islamic invasion. Any guesses ?

What is wrong in Sati ? Self sacrifice has a long cherished ideal in Indian society . Be it man or woman. Men sacrifice themselves on the battlefield everyday for their women and society.

Buddha was a Kshatriya and he was proud of it. He often reminded people that he was a kshatriya. Buddha in fact spoke in support of the Varna system. He is on record supporting the Varna system.

There is a story of how a brahmin who arrived at a place where buddha was staying and called Kshatriyas rude and uncivilized while buddha claimed kshatriyas were superior to the brahmins. This is just ONE example of how casteist buddha was. LOL at your ignorance.

Finally, this thread is about ancient India's respect for women.

Two of the greatest epics of HIndu were fought over women. Ramayana for a man wanting to get back his kidnapped wife. Mahabharat for the pandavas fighting for the honour of draupadi.

Only someone who is totally clueless about Hinduism will make such absurd claims and statements.

Blame Muslims and Christians for the sin of Brahmins

You have zero knowledge about Indian History.

"Buddha was a Kshatriya and he was proud of it." - Are you crazy ? Buddha/Buddhism is about obtaining Nirvana. You have some basic knowledge about other religion too.

Your story is narrated for some Hindu hypocrite.

You must be a maniac to support Sati, No women volunteered for Sati. Men do not sacrifice them self, they fight to protect the country. Some of them volunteered and some of them forced.

Ramayana and Mahabharata are myth and both of it degrade Indian women and none appreciative of women.

LOL. I suspect I have forgotten more about history that you will ever learn in your lifetime.

How does finding Nirvana related to being proud of being a Kshatriya ? :cheesy: ........ as far as I know, they are not related. One can be proud of being a kshatriya and still find Nirvana . e.g. Krishna. Not to mention, Buddha.

This story is taken directly from the earliest Buddhist books written during Buddhas time.

Here is another gem from Buddha's teaching.

"The Bodhisattvas appear only in two kinds of lineage, the one of the brahmanas and of the warriors (kshatriya)"

Yup, these are his actual words.

You must be a terrible sexist to think that only MEN choose to sacrifice them selves for a cause, and women do no such thing. History is full of women who committed sati in the past. History is full of women who committed Jauhar too, which is just another form of Sati. No one "forced" them to do it except their sense of honour and dignity and love and sacrifice.

Only a Bigot would call Ramayana and Mahabharata as "myths" when they have been written down thousands of time and passed on through history. I guess that sums you up.

India is the extension of colonial powers. That is why it is called "India". Why you blaming them when you yourself are happily carrying over the colonial legacy?

If you are drunk, Read and post later.

I cannot teach you about Buddhism. its a too big to complete in forum. If you are interested let me know your location I can help you to find a monetary near by, obviously you cannot use google :)

When did I write men sacrifice them self. If you have mind read my post again. Its you who wrote it :) Oh my God , I cannot believe someone living in 2018 and believing, supporting Sati. Buddy seriously ?! If its so justified, why men dont do ? and only women do it?

Yes, our history is full of Sati and it was Brits who made it illegal and banned it. At least they stopped Indian women burnt alive. Thats exactly what I am saying. Its not Indian but brits helped women.

I believe a book is a myth until someone has proven it wrong. Nobody has done it yet.
