A UAE cab driver has scooped a 900,000 AED ($245,025) Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 in a prize draw, UAE daily The National reported on Tuesday.

Indian expat Soupi Abdulla’s name was plucked from nearly quarter of a million entries in the Al Jimi Mall's Shop And Win prize draw in Al Ain city in the emirate of Abu Dhabi.

In order to be eligible for the draw shoppers had to spend more than 250 AED at any of the mall’s shops, the report added.

The supercar is powered by a 5.2 litre V10 engine and is capable of a top speed of 323kph - although the UAE has a national speed limit on highways of 120kph.

The question on everyone’s minds now is does the cabbie’s new pride and joy have a sticker in the rear window that reads ‘my other car’s a taxi’?

They will probably hussle him out of it. Usually what they do is they offer to pay the guys half in cash if they don't want the car.

A lot of the times the organizers always have a sale lined up before they give these expensive cars. Pay the winner half, get full from a buyer :).

Im sure he'd take the car and sell it himself at a max of 30% discount!

If you're not a rich dude, ts not easy to own a Lamborg. Whose gonna pay for premium fuel and maintenance costs?
I'd say the guy should sell it to an Arab for big bucks....

Congratulations to Soupi Abdulla’s for wining but $245,025 isn't the right price these babies go for way More then that . The best thing for him to do would be a private sale or sell it back to the dealer either way he will get More then $245,025.

UAE cabbie wins Lamborghini, sells it days later to start a business

A UAE cab driver who scooped a Lamborghini Gallardo LP550 in a raffle draw has sold the super car and said he intends to start his own food delivery business, UAE daily The National reported on Monday.

Indian expat, Soupi Abdulla, 44, won the 750,000 AED ($204,197) car at a mall in Al Ain last week.

But after two days his friends and family set out to find a buyer for the car and shortly after it was sold for 550,000 AED, the report added.

“That Lamborghini is finished for me. I’ll buy a new car for a low price, maybe a Nissan Sunny or Toyota Corolla,” he said.

He said he now plans to set up a food delivery business with his brothers, but not before he has taken a two break back home in India.
