SRINAGAR: In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops aimed guns at staff of Srinagar-based English and Urdu newspapers soon after they left offices for home at Lal Chowk in Srinagar.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the personnel associated with paramilitary Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) late Saturday night aimed guns at the staff of Greater Kashmir and Kashmir Uzma shortly after they left home from their offices in Srinagar. Greater Kashmir senior correspondent Abid Bashir along with Kashmir Uzma senior correspondent Bilal Furqani and another staffer Shafqat Ahmed were stopped by SSB men at TRC crossing near Radio Kashmir building.

"They shouted at us and asked us to go back. We told them that we are journalists and showed them our curfew passes. They became more furious and refused to entertain the curfew passes. They aimed their guns at us,” the terrified staffers told media person after the incident. "It was only after I called a senior police officer that we were let off,” they added.

This is not the first time that journalists have been targeted by the Indian armed forces' personnel during the ongoing uprising.

Indian already put media blanket ban on Kashmir, We should expect even worse just like Israeli used to kill journalists and now Indian wants to follow footsteps of Israel.

. . . . . .
I asked for purpose of your existence not biological proof.
I guess I got the answer......
Purpose less things often happen with mistake..... :enjoy:

Good for you that you got your answer.

Now answer my question: Why evil Indian forces did not shot these journalists?

. .
it is possible it happened but why are there no pics, they were journalists, right ?

.
A media group was not allowed to cover Indian HM visit to Pakistan by Pakistani security agencies right in the heart of Pakistan during SAARC without giving any rational justification and you are making rona-dhona of security agencies aiming gun( no confirmation of reports) in curfew-ed area going through one of the worst crisis. How pathetic.

.
if both are equal why make a fuss about it?
Simple one is by oppressed folks living in occupied territory other is by outsiders who aren't even allowed in that region and use 4 year old doctored videos and images to portray a false image

.
You can not turn already poor situation into worse by shooting down a journalist.
Your forces have shot down teachers and ambulance drivers, young as 8 and old as 80.
Your forces fear the ink of pen otherwise shooting a journalist is left hand job for them.....

How would we make a bad situation worse? Is situation bad to begin with?

This is a propaganda spewer ,and not some journalist affiliated with Reuters, so that we would have any consequences. Greater Kashmir could write any crap that they want and it would have grand total of zero effect on discourse.Apart from that their is zero sympathy for Islamists from civilians in west means that we are and neither will face even obligatory randii-rona from human rights orgs which are political front for western interests.

Anyone could lie that guns were pointed at them.
