Indian students trapped in Ukraine: Modi wants Indians to study in India

A lot of them.

Not sure about other cities, but i've seen plenty in Kiev.

The fees in India have become so much that there is no option for people trying to get a better education other than educate their kids in East European countries or even China. Perhaps Modi-G can try fixing that first before commenting on where people study.

Get him some fantastic tea and he will consider it

Yes, more universities and less worship places may just do the trick

Also Indian Indian society need to realize there are plethora of other courses and career options besides BTech and MBBS. Societal pressure forces students who couldn't meet the cutoff at Indian Institutes to seek the admission to this course elsewhere.

Then Modi ji should consider the fact that Indian educational system is not free for the students and MBBS courses can cost the students up to a crore I think. He should create another "enlightening" abbreviation like STREANH to bring about this change. :D

Yes, Indian society - parents specifically and neighbors - needs to realize that cramming people into engineering courses for the latest fashionable thing does not really produce, in Indian context, any technological brilliance. For example, there are at least two million computer engineers in India yet there is not a single operating system or microprocessor designed in Indian.

Secondly, this system of artificially competitive school and college exams every year, then the expectation from the students to score high marks in the exams, then the artificial competition among the graduates to grab an "acchi naukri" after displaying their high marks just so that their frivolous-thinking parents can brag to their neighbors and relatives... this ridiculous system needs to be abolished and education and employment made scientific, rational and actually educating because there isn't currently an Indian settlement on Mars operating for the last 20 years. Indians need to chill on these issues.

I've recruited more than 5,000 people in my career (I mean personally been involved in the process), and the thing is that we breed techno-coolies. This could be a long, long rant; I'll spare you unsuspecting good people.

When you have a cowminded PM , This guy is a plain idiot
And that's on one casual remark?

I'm waiting for the day when you hear a full speech. Try looking up the one where he tells a gathering of the top business leaders about the tea-seller who used the noxious gases from the drain next to his stall to pipe and burn as a fuel gas!
